Dorm Lobby, Sunday Evening

In the lobby is a big-ass banner that reads "WELCOME HOME TIME TRAVELLERS AND AWAY TEAMS AND WORLD SAVERS AND EVERYONE". And... that's more or less it.

On a table in the corner is punch and pie. JUST punch and pie, and the punch comes pre-spiked. There's also a box with a sign on it that says "NO PIE unless you deposit souvenirs here". Feel free to ignore it.

Sokka, after the TREMENDOUS effort involved in planning a shindig such as this, is sitting on the couch and rubbing his eyes, which are still dry and burning from earlier.

Reno was going to go to Caritas. Reno was going to go to Caritas and drink until his brains fell out and then drink some more.

But with something like this going on in the lobby, the least he could do was stop and have a look at what was set out around them.

"Tell me there's booze in that, and I won't have to go outside again today, and I'll owe you freakin' big, Boom."

Sokka cocked his head and raised an eyebrow. "...Okay, seriously, do I look like the kind of person who'd spike the punch?"

He held the look for a few seconds before busting out a grin. "Of COURSE there's booze in that. I mean, really, after this week, we all need it!!!"

Reno let go of the breath that he'd been holding.

"Aw, shit. You're my freakin' hero, man." And he was going to help himself now. A lot. "If I ever see another statue, it'll be too damn soon, zoto."

Sky could see that something was going on in the dorm lobby on the way back from his mission, so he plodded into the lobby.

"Hey, Sokka," he said, rubbing his eyes and going to get a class of punch.

Sokka waved. "Hey. Happy We Won Day!"

"Back at you," said Sky, giving the thumbs-up and taking a sip of punch, blinking. It tasted a little funny, but maybe it was a flavor he didn't know... "I am beyond relieved that those things are taken care of."

Reno glanced over at the newcomer from the Place He Had Staked Out By The Punch Bowl.

"Freakin' angels, huh?"

"I was thinking something a little cruder... but yeah," said Sky, rubbing his forehead.

Billy was tired from his New York Trip. But he was back, and pleased to note that whatever had been done about the Angels, had worked.

Sokka waved at Billy and nodded towards the punch and pie.

"Hey Sokka." Billy waved back. "I hear everything worked out just fine."

"Booze," Reno promptly announced, holding a cup of punch to the newcomer.

If he was going to get drunk, everyone in the room had better be.

Billy hesitated. "Oh what the hell. One drink."

Leave it to Chad to have done something like sleeping through almost the entire day, only to wake up to what he was going to remember as Prince Oscar Pedro telling him what was really him hearing the announcement piercing through his typical Saturday (because, you see, he also thought it was Saturday) sleeping routine. In his defense, all that pacing and flaring up his arm, then losing it, then having it spark up again, had drained an awful lot out of him.

He went looking for people, because that's what someone did when they realized they'd been missing things, and found them.

"I heard stuff happened," he commented intelligently.

Sokka raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, you MIGHT say that," he replied, with a grin. "We only got rid of the angels once and for all and figured out how to bring everyone home. You been locked in your room or something?"

Chad's slightly shifting jaw was the only indication of the complex network of gears going on inside his brain, and then, finally, he scratched the back of his head in a sheepish fashion. "Yeah, kinda," he said, and it was partially true. He did, after all, have a particularly overprotective boyfriend. "But you guys got 'em? Really? What did it?"

If it was spirit force attacks or reitsu after all, Chad was probably never going to forgive himself.

"Booze!" Reno's greeting to everyone today was going to be a hearty offering of the spiked punch that he amazingly hadn't actually had anything to do with. He offered a cupful of punch toward the big guy who had just meandered down.

"Wait, what?" Chad blinked, not so much for the offering of booze that looked like it was just punch, but more for something else.

"...Renji?"

It was the hair, really. Certain details stuck with Chad, others completely did not.

Amber was back from the desert. She had ridden a stinky, spitting camel, and braved the hot, dry climate without complaining at all. Her cheeks were chapped, her nose was peeling, and she was more than a tad tired.

Still, there was a welcome sign and punch and she could certainly use something cold to drink.

Mmm, punch.

"Booze." Reno held up a cup of punch. Reno was perhaps slightly tipsy by now. Just slightly. "Goes good with punch, which goes good with no freakin' statues tryin' to eat face."

Sokka waved. "Hi there! Unfortunately, it's not meat-flavored, but enjoy the punch. We've earned it!"

Chad lifted a hand to give Amber a waveless wave.

A very tan and very worn out look slayer wandered into the lobby and flashed a grin at the banner. "I never thought this place would look so good."

...And that would be Sokka pouncing on her for hug that he really, REALLY hadn't meant to be as over-enthusiastic as it was. Okay, maybe he had.

"Welcome back!!!"
