Dorm Lobby, Sunday Evening

In the lobby is a big-ass banner that reads "WELCOME HOME TIME TRAVELLERS AND AWAY TEAMS AND WORLD SAVERS AND EVERYONE". And... that's more or less it.

On a table in the corner is punch and pie. JUST punch and pie, and the punch comes pre-spiked. There's also a box with a sign on it that says "NO PIE unless you deposit souvenirs here". Feel free to ignore it.

Sokka, after the TREMENDOUS effort involved in planning a shindig such as this, is sitting on the couch and rubbing his eyes, which are still dry and burning from earlier.

Chad's slightly shifting jaw was the only indication of the complex network of gears going on inside his brain, and then, finally, he scratched the back of his head in a sheepish fashion. "Yeah, kinda," he said, and it was partially true. He did, after all, have a particularly overprotective boyfriend. "But you guys got 'em? Really? What did it?"

If it was spirit force attacks or reitsu after all, Chad was probably never going to forgive himself.

Chad's head gained a slight tilt as he considered this after Sokka explained it.

"Huh."

He nodded.

"That is pretty smart."

Oooh, punch and pie. Like Chad was anyone to turn down punch and pie. There was, however, a small, mostly automatic grunt at the slap at his back. "Cool. Everyone who'd gone missing come back yet, then?"

"What are they doing there?"

Not that Chad had been living under a rock or anything, since Friday. He wasn't aware that it was even Sunday yet, after all.

"Oh," Chad said, like Sokka had told him the time, and nodded again. "That makes sense, too."

There was a considering pause.

"Would be weird, though."

"Like who?" Chad asked, following it with, "What good would that do, anyway?"

"If it doesn't matter who," Chad reasoned, "then you should hit something instead of someone..."

It was often that Chad was accused of having too much logic. The grumbling made him feel oddly proud. He got himself another cup of the punch, and settled in for the waiting.

For maybe a moment or two.

"...They should hurry up," he decided, taking a sip.
