The Gym, Sunday Early Morning
Despite not sleeping well (or perhaps in spite of not sleeping well?), Ino was at the gym rather earlier than normal and going through her taijutsu--hand-to-hand.
And, you know, using it as a way to not really think about things. She’d be fine--really--but thinking about it still bugged her. And she’d be talking about it later today anyway, so why fuss now?
[Ino is here for Liir, but totally open for any of your gymish or Inoish needs.]

He settled into a stance.
"I stretched before I came.

She glanced at him, eyes still unamused. "Let's try something else today. Try hitting me with one of the stances I've taught you. We'll see how well you've got them put together."

He shook off the discussion a moment later before turning to the subject at hand.
"Try and hit you. With what?"

He didn't think he'd actually manage to hit her, but he wanted to know what she'd want to teach him first.

A moment later, he finally launched a punch at her, most of the power coming from his hip as he aimed to hit her in the jaw.
Best not to take out his base on his first shot.

On the other hand, a punch to the jaw was an easy thing to dodge and she ducked nimbly under it, aiming a warning swat—that, had this been for real, would’ve been a punch of her own—at his midsection then slipping just out of his arms reach.

Ino wouldn't let that happen. So she waited, with warrior eyes locked on him, and far more at ease in her stances than him. Well, no wonder, she had how much more training?

She slipped away from his punch, lighter on her feet than his was on his, and went to clip him lightly on the shoulder. "Stop thinking, and think more all at the same time," she said, "stop thinking about what you're doing and consider more what I could be doing."

This time it was a kick at her knee, one stance to another.
