First Floor Lobby: Saturday Night

Mel had retrieved her rubber-squeaky-scythe from the weapons locker and was out on patrol. But since it was dark out she could only stay in the lobby as she hunted the nastiest of the undead: vampire dust bunnies.

So anyone entering the lobby right now would find Mel leaping in the air as she attacked the dust monster.

"DIE!"

*SQUEAK-SQUEAK-SQUEAK*

Dawn wandered down into the lobby carrying a notebook and pencil, thinking about maybe writing a letter or a story (as soon as she figured out how to write), when she spotted Mel.

"Ooooh. What're you slaying?"

"Shhh!" Mel said holding her finger to her lips. "I'm hunting vampire dust bunnies! Are you here to watch? Because your my watcher so you should be watching me!"

"Uh huh!" She nodded vigorously, then perched herself out of the way on the stairs to watch and write. Or maybe draw pictures. "Careful, though. They're sneaky."

"You have to be very careful when approaching the bunnies," Mel warned. "If you move to fast they blow away with the wind."

"Stepping on 'em works, but you hafta be quick like a bunny," Dawn instructed her slayer. "Not a vampire bunny, 'course."

"Hi, Dawn! Hi, Dawn! Hi, Dawn!" Rikku bounced. "I'm helpin'!"

"Hi Hi Hi, Rikku!" Dawn waved wildly back. "I'm watching!"

"I kill stuffs good!" Rikku announced. "Look! I'm sneaky!"

She proceeded to clomp around the edges again, doing a very bad job of tiptoeing. "Lookit! Lookit! I'm sneaky!"

"Wow," Dawn was impressed. Rikku was a good sneaker. She didn't write that down on her paper, though, because she was only s'posed to be watching Mel, not Mel 'n Rikku. "The vampire bunnies are quick, though. Be careful!"

Rikku was fueled on sugar, courtesy of Cowabunga Carl. She might never sleep at this rate.

She bounced into the lobby ... and stared. An' stared. An' stared.

"I wanna try!" she announced.

"Rikku! Hi!" Mel said bouncing up and down. "Come help patrol!"

"Patrol??" Rikku bounced. "Yay! Yay! Yay! I wanna try!"

She zipped off and returned quickly, with a wee plastic formerly-a-Godhand-but-not-so-much-now Velcro-strapped on. "What's we patrollin' for?"

"Vampire dust bunnies!" Mel said in voice that was not for inside. "But be careful! They'll blow away if you go after them too fast."

Following Rikku, Romeo came into the lobby. "Hi Mel, whatcha doing?"

"Killing monsters!" Mel said proudly. "Gimme pudding."

It's totally a logical train of though.

"I don't have pudding," Romeo said, sounding vaguely affronted.

"But you had pudding!" Mel said stomping her foot. "Did you eat it all?"

Reno totally had a cardboard tube stun baton and therefore was armed and dangerous and stuff!

"Hi, Mel! Hii!" He waved a cheery hello with said stun baton. He had eaten and finished a report and everything today, so he was in an exceptionally good mood! Hooray!

"Hi Reno!" Mel said waving her squeak scythe back at him. "I'm killing monsters!"

"Oooh, really? I can kill monsters! I'm good at it an' stuff!"

He totally was!

"What kinda monsters? Are we doin' a sweep of the area an' things so we get it allll?"

"We're hunting dust bunnies!" Mel said as she bounced around the room. "Vampire dust bunnies!"

Sokka walked into the lobby and looked around nervously. (He was only a LITTLE warrior, after all. He wasn't allowed to kill anything bigger than a fish.) "Whatcha killin'?"

"Dust bunnies," Mel said seriously. "Vampire dust bunnies."

Then she realized it was Sokka and made goo-goo eyes at him.

"Hiiiiiiiii Sooooooooooooka!"

Oh, BUNNIES. Bunnies were totally okay. They were even a kind of fish.

Of course, the goo-goo eyes made him blush. He'd probably caught cooties from her or something. "MEL! MELLY MEL! I'm-a help slay the bunnies!!!"

He started making kung-fu poses and looking around the room for bunnies.
