Cheerleading Practice, Tuesday, 4/15

It was Tuesday which meant it was cheerleading practice. And because Brooke's fashion show had been such a hit, along with healthy snacks, Annette also snuck in a cake she'd ~~handwavily~~ picked up from J,GOB that was decorated in school colors, saying nothing more than GO GREMLINS! But dude, cake. You cannot go wrong with cake. She figured anyone who wanted any, could certainly help themselves, and toss in a thank you to Brooke and their cheer Captain Savannah, for such a great planned out event.

And Annette totally wanted some of those clothes. She needed to talk to Brooke. She wanted the skirt she modeled in. It was cute and flirty.

Anyway, there were mats, water bottles, a super huge Chad to toss cheerleaders in the air ~~if he was there and willing omg~~.

Music was going so practice was now in session.

Chad looked at the cake a little dubiously. It seemed like a bit of a backslide in snacks as far as he was concerned, and he had to start watching his weight, anyway. He wondered if all those portfolios he sent out didn't come back because he had too much of a gut.

Annette totally had some cake. From J,GOB? Shyyyeah like she wasn't at least going to have a few bites, or you know just like a square or something.

She tried her prom dress on last night. Perfect fit. No worries.

Robin got a small piece of cake, and then to balance it, had some carrots.

Naomi wasn't really worried about her weight but she still got a small piece of cake anyway.

CAKE! Cake was all sorts of good times. Rikku bounced and noshed.

Brooke was still riding the high of the fashion show ~~even if her mun was sorta dead to the world today~~.

Streeeeeetch those muscles, 'cause seriously, not only is it important, it feels super good. Seriously. Do IT!

Chad is stretching, OMG. It's way too important.

Annette was streeeeeetching! Mmm, stretch.

Lana stretched out particularly well.

Warming up: good times.

Cheer! Toss! Do the splits and wow the audience!

"Cheerleading is the life, and life is cheerleading, anything less would be second rate, and our squad does not do second rate! WOOT!"

Tosses! Come on! Tosses were the best ever!

Chad was there to provide any sort of help or assistance anyone needed with anything ~~especially gratuitous icon use~~.

Annette just so happened to be near Chad. Okay, she kind of made a beeline towards him. Probably a little bouncy, either from cake or just generally.

"Hi, Chad!"

"Hey, Annette," Chad lifted a hand in a wave. "What's up?"

"Nothing, was just hoping that maybe I could ask you to please toss me in the air?"

"Toss into the air?" Chad asked, tilting his head into consideration. "I guess I could probably do that, yeah."

"You say that like you haven't done it a million times," she said, cocking a brow. "I want to do a flip and a toe touch on the way down; think you can get me high enough?"

"I haven't done it a million times," Chad pointed out, because, really, it was more like half a million. Still, he lunged forward a little with his leg good and strong for support, cupping his hands on his thigh for Annette to step into and squaring his shoulders good and firm for her to use to help her up if she needed to. "And I can try."

"Close enough," she said, grinning wide. She did use his shoulder for support as she stepped into his cupped hands, straightening up but with enough bend in her knees to allow for easy maneuverability and the better for him to toss her as high as he dared.

"Ready, Chad!"

With a grunt of agreement and a nod, Chad then grunted a second time as he made sure he had the right hold on Annette's foot, that she had the right balance, before he carefully straightened. Annette was so tiny that he had no problem at all holding her up in a simple mount. "On three," he warned her. "Uno, dos..."

On tres, he bent slightly and then pushed her up, pushed her off his hand with the strong, powerful motion of his arm and body, sending her easily into the air and immediately getting ready to catch her once she descended.

Tres... she counted in her head the same time it was said and as soon as she was airborne and high enough, she tucked her knees into her chest, did two flips, and ended with a toe touch before she came down, trusting him to catch her completely.

Chad caught Annette easily in his waiting, strong arms; the grunt as she landed in them was merely for effect.

"That was really good, Annette."

"Hah!" she said as she was let to the ground. "That was fun! Too bad no one could ever really get you up in the air, Chad, I bet you'd really like it." Maybe. Annette eyed the breadth of his shoulders, his height; uh, probably be hard for him to manage a flip. "Hey, I bet you can do the splits!" Which might be way awkward. "Or not. Did you have some cake?"

"Pippi'n'Molly could," Chad pointed out, "when we first started. We did that at the competition, and it was kind of a hit. An' I'm not doin' the splits, and I can't have cake right now. I'm watching my weight."

"That's right, I forgot how strong those two were. They could throw me so high..." she reminincsed.

"Why are you watching your weight?" Chad was built all too well to worry about eating a slice of cake.

"Just to be on the safe side," Chad said, patting his very flat and muscled stomach. "Can't book any jobs with love handles, y'know?"

She snorted, joking, "Yeah, or those thunder thighs. Got to be careful there too."

Wait. What?

"Book what kind of jobs?"

"My modeling jobs," Chad said. "I've sent out some portfolios, but still haven't heard anything back..."

Robin was attempting to do a hand stand. It wasn't working.
