5th Floor CR, Thursday Afternoon
The week was well on its way before Romeo did much outside his room, but this afternoon he was, at long last, bored of his own company and the inside of his own head.
He emerged to make his way to the common room, where an idea overtook him. If at some point he'd have a child who was devoted to waffles (and that seemed at least more likely than the other two possibilities the weekend had thrown at him) it might serve him well to be able to make the things without help from a toaster.
Granted, he couldn't cook. But he could read and so, intrepidly, he found himself standing at the counter, squinting at a recipe and hoping the mess wouldn't be too bad to clean up.
If nothing else, he would have killed an afternoon.

"It's behind me as well," he said instead. "And what's your destiny after today? I hope you're at least staying some of the summer.

Logically.
He just didn't know it would be that soon.
Romeo frowned harder at his egg whites. "We'll miss you," was all he said. "Will you keep in touch, from your places to go?"

...
"And Gunther doesn't fell that way for me. At least I hope he doesn't," she added with a shiver.

He shuddered, and said hopefully, "If her looks like a fish, probably he likes more piscine women."

He half-smiled. "This isn't as hard as I thought it might be."

"Nothing, I suppose, save some ruined food," he admitted. "I never have cooked, so the idea may scare me more than it should."

"Careful! It's coming to get you! Grr! Argh! It's scary!"
