Virgo Campfire; Saturday Afternoon.

It wouldn't have been a problem if it hadn't been the wings.

Why, why had there been wings? Cal had thought it was bad enough that there was an excessive amount of pink as well as interlocking male-female symbols being advertised on his butt, but then there had to be pretty fairy wings on it, too. Just great. It was definitely a day where he was going to try to stay in his alcove.

Only to discover that trying to even just sit in one of those alcoves as a horse with big wings was not pleasant. He realized he could have just stuck in the living room, but he wanted fresh air and, most importantly, room, and so there came to be a slightly sulking pretty pony sitting by the unlit campfire, reminding himself that maybe this at least meant all the Fandom stuff was just getting out of (or would it be into?) his system.

Temari went looking for some sort of explanation for what the heck happened over night.

And why this stupid henge wouldn't disperse.

And found another pony with butterfly wings. "Everyone?"

Temari blinked once. "Oh, you're male."

The wings and pink threw her.

"You have butterfly wings and are pink," Temari informed him dryly.

"It's a feminine color," Said the purple pony.

There was no way this was going in her report home.

"I wore it that way when I was younger."

Alec had been up early enough to miss the morning rush of pony-ness, so returning to his cabin now meant that he was finally getting a good glimpse of Fandom's latest craze.

Stopping by the campfire, he examined the little pony curiously before asking, "Are you a student or a visitor?"

If a pony could smirk, Temari did a good job of it. "And you are fluttery."

Alec smirked and sat down, putting himself a little more on a level with the petite pony. "Yeah, I was a goat once," he said. "And a girl. I think Fandom likes to play hell with your sense of identity."

Temari hummed in amusement.

"Of course." She looked around. "Who are you, anyway?"

[identity profile] not-fangirl.livejournal.com 2008-05-17 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
"So it's not everyone." Temari huffed, blowing the forelock out of her eyes.

[identity profile] not-fangirl.livejournal.com 2008-05-17 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"For my own curiosity," She replied, looking at him out of the corner of her eye.

"Why? Worried I'll see you again?"

[identity profile] not-fangirl.livejournal.com 2008-05-17 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Temari shrugged.

"Then why not say your name? If I won't be able to put it to a face."

[identity profile] not-fangirl.livejournal.com 2008-05-17 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"Temari." Her tail swished suddenly at that. "How did you know it was forehead protector?"

[identity profile] x5-alec.livejournal.com 2008-05-17 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm Alec. I'm in this cabin, so if you're not standing here just for your health, that'll narrow it down a bit," he said. "And I assume you'll sound the same, next time."

[[slowplay ftw then! :3]]

Temari snorted in amusement at that.

"Sounds like that brat. It's normally worn over the forehead so we can identify friend and foe in battle, but as long as it is visible, it doesn't matter."
