It wouldn't have been a problem if it hadn't been the wings.

Why, why had there been wings? Cal had thought it was bad enough that there was an excessive amount of pink as well as interlocking male-female symbols being advertised on his butt, but then there had to be pretty fairy wings on it, too. Just great. It was definitely a day where he was going to try to stay in his alcove.

Only to discover that trying to even just sit in one of those alcoves as a horse with big wings was not pleasant. He realized he could have just stuck in the living room, but he wanted fresh air and, most importantly, room, and so there came to be a slightly sulking pretty pony sitting by the unlit campfire, reminding himself that maybe this at least meant all the Fandom stuff was just getting out of (or would it be into?) his system.

Temari went looking for some sort of explanation for what the heck happened over night.

And why this stupid henge wouldn't disperse.

And found another pony with butterfly wings. "Everyone?"

"Uhh..."

Cal couldn't exactly speak for everyone, but it was a little bit of a relief to see someone else afflicted, even if this one didn't have to be stuck with pointless, unexplainable wings.

"Well, at least I know I'm not the only one," he commented.

Temari blinked once. "Oh, you're male."

The wings and pink threw her.

The, yes, male...mostly...pony gave a snort. "Har har. You know, and here I was worried that I wouldn't get to hear that today. Good thing you came around."

"You have butterfly wings and are pink," Temari informed him dryly.

Jamie trotted into the campfire area gave a wave of his hoof to everyone.

"Hey foals and fillies," he whinnied. "Check it out. We're horses! How awesome is that?"

Temari narrowed her eyes at him for a moment.

"You would be happy about this."

Jamie tilted his head in amusement. "Oh come on. You can't tell me this isn't fun."

Alec had been up early enough to miss the morning rush of pony-ness, so returning to his cabin now meant that he was finally getting a good glimpse of Fandom's latest craze.

Stopping by the campfire, he examined the little pony curiously before asking, "Are you a student or a visitor?"

Cal sighed, which, it would seem, worked quite well as a pony. "Student. I'm not usually like this."

The wings fluttered.

"...At all."

Alec smirked and sat down, putting himself a little more on a level with the petite pony. "Yeah, I was a goat once," he said. "And a girl. I think Fandom likes to play hell with your sense of identity."

Great, and wasn't that just what Cal needed? He tried his best to ignore the girl part of that. Maybe since he'd already been down that road, he wouldn't have to travel it twice.

"Good thing I'm secure in mine, then," he commented, silently adding the finally. "I'm, uh, Cal, by the way. I have no idea if introducing myself to you right now will do any good, because, hopefully, next time you see me, I won't look anything like this."

"So it's not everyone." Temari huffed, blowing the forelock out of her eyes.

"Nope, not everyone," Alec agreed. "Thankfully, considering I've had my turn at having four feet and an urge to graze."

Dean smirked at Alec. "At least you managed to avoid getting hooves this time."

"Aww, so did you," Alec replied with a mock-pout. "I kind of wondered what I'd look like as a pony."

"Probably a lot like how you looked like as a goat, only more horsey," Dean said.

Dean wandered out of the cabin and blinked at the beings sitting around the campfire. "Don't tell me," he said. "Someone really wanted a pony and tried a spell to get one?"

Lacking an actual eyebrow to raise, Temari just let her ears go back. "If that's true, I'd like to have first shot whoever did it."

"So should I lay in a store of carrots and sugarcubes?" Dean wondered. "I'm assuming that this is a 'I just woke up with hooves' thing and not a 'I'm really a pony and I just woke up on this weird island' thing."

Her tail flicked angrily at that.

Having bodyparts she couldn't control when it came to emotion was the biggest problem. Other than lacking thumbs. "Not normally a pony, no. This is common?"

"If that's the case," Cal muttered with an unintentional fluttering of wings, "I think whoever did it just bought him or herself a one-way ticket to a bed full of horse manure one of these days..."

Dean snorted in amusement. "Talk about punishments fitting the crime."

Cal's pony head nodded. "And I bet they'll think twice before wanting a pony again."
