Lupus Campfire - Tuesday Evening

Lois didn't have any problem with starting campfires. Cooking on said campfires? Little more of a problem. Since there was a surprising lack of marshmallows around, she managed to steal of box of somebody's graham crackers from the cabin. Lois was currently laying against a log with the box of graham crackers in her lap. She was trying not to eat the whole box but dammit, they were good.

Worf approached the cabin carrying a small box under his arm.

"I'm looking for a Lois Lane," he announced seriously when he arrived at the campfire.

Worf eyed her suspiciously. "Me. She mentioned something about having pie delivered to her on her radio broadcast. So I have brought her some."

Look! Worf being social! Not creepy or scary at all!

[identity profile] sonofmogh.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
"How do I know if you are really her?" Worf growled. "You could be just a pie thief."

[identity profile] sonofmogh.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Worf gave her a long hard look before handing over the box (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Rokeg_blood_pie).

"Fine. However if I find you are not who you say you are there will be dire consequences," Worf warned. "That is a special pie made by my people. I hope you enjoy it."

"It's Rokeg Blood Pie," Worf said looking pleased. "Unfortunately there are no Rokegs available so I had to improvise with squid. Their tentacles are very similar."

Ella raised a hand in a half-wave to the boy with the ... forehead.

[identity profile] sonofmogh.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
Worf looked carefully at the girl with the waving and the book that I see in the other comment.

"Hello," he said gruffly. "You are too close to the fire with that book. Put it away so it does not catch fire."

[identity profile] ella-obeys.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
Ella sighed -- she was at an especially exciting point in the tale of the seven sisters and the swan -- but did as she was told, trotting away to tuck the book safely far from the fire. "Hello to you, too."

[identity profile] sonofmogh.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
"I am Worf, son of Mogh," he said looking pleased that Ella followed his advice. "It is good to see that you believe in fire safety."

Ella looked rather smug as she took a seat at the campfire. "Hello!" she said cheerily to no one in particular, then settled in against a tree, squinting a little at her book in the gathering dark.

[identity profile] ella-obeys.livejournal.com 2008-05-20 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"But where's the fun in that?" Ella joked, moving closer to the flames anyhow.

[identity profile] ella-obeys.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
"Sure," Ella said, reaching for a cracker and holding it to inspect it in the firelight. "Who are we stealing them from?"

[identity profile] ella-obeys.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
Ella considered Lois for a moment. "If this is your cabin, we're in the same one," she told her. "I'm Ella. Not one of the drunkards, though this place may change that."

She bit into the cracker.

[identity profile] ella-obeys.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
"About what?" Ella asked, crunching on her cracker. "And good to meet you. I think I almost know everyone, now."

[identity profile] ella-obeys.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
"I didn't hear it that way," Ella reassured her. "I go to different campfires for food too, but from Lupus I've met ... you, Rikku, Reno, Sokka, Ron. So I think I'm only missing two?"

Ella didn't know, but she could kind of guess. "Whatever it means," she agreed. "He has red hair and an accent. We talked about elves a lot."

"His are servants, so they might make cookies," Ella said thoughtfully. "The ones back home aren't that short..."

Blair stalked around the cabins until she spotted her prey. "You," she snarled.

[identity profile] ella-obeys.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
"You could try hello, you know," Ella suggested, still smug. "Like so: Hello, Blair."

[identity profile] gameknowsgame.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
"Hello lesser human being who has all of seconds in which to grovel to me in what will undoubtedly be a fruitless effort to try to win my forgiveness," Blair replied.

[identity profile] ella-obeys.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
Ella blinked at Blair. "And why exactly should I want to do that?" she asked. "I cleaned your alcove."

[identity profile] gameknowsgame.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
"Where you're from are people aware that worms do not count as those chocolates you leave on the pillows?" Blair asked, her voice sugary-sweet. "Or was that something Daddy forgot to teach you before he went away?"

Blair? Project some of her own issues onto other people? Never.

[identity profile] ella-obeys.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
"My father has nothing to do with this," Ella informed Blair, a little heatedly. It wasn't like she was lacking in her own parental issues, after all. "There were worms? I'm so sorry." Which she was. So sorry the stupid curse had turned her into a maid yet again.

[identity profile] gameknowsgame.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
"You know perfectly well there were worms," Blair said. "They certainly weren't left by the worm fairies."

Granted Fandom could have worm fairies.

[identity profile] ella-obeys.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
It very well could.

"No, but if they just happened to crawl in and take shelter while I was cleaning for you, I'm hardly to blame," Ella pointed out. "Or you might reconsider your choice of a maid service, if I did such a bad job." Which is what she was hoping for, really.

[identity profile] gameknowsgame.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh no," Blair said. "I think I'll stick with the one I have. After all, what better way to make it up to me than to fix what you broke?"

[identity profile] ella-obeys.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
"So you need me to pick a few worms out of your bed?" Ella asked. "If you're afraid of them, I can certainly do that."

[identity profile] gameknowsgame.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
"Get the worms out, clean up the mess they made, and do a much more thorough job of cleaning my alcove," Blair said. "Without worms."

[identity profile] ella-obeys.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
Ella started to say something cutting, then held herself back, considered. Blair's instructions certainly left room for improvisation. "Tomorrow I will," she said. "No worms."

[identity profile] gameknowsgame.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm glad we could clear this up," Blair said. She turned on her heel to leave.

[identity profile] ella-obeys.livejournal.com 2008-05-21 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
"Sleep well." Ella made a rude face at Blair's back and turned her attention back to her book. She'd have to find a way to make this little cleaning project even more interesting.
