Draco Campfire, Wednesday Evening

No doubt, she mused idly, Turtle would say that she should be more confident and go and sit at other campfires rather than at her own.

Hinata rather figured she was being brave enough for the moment though, after yesterday, and with a little shrug settled down in front of the merrily blazing fire she'd started up. The things she needed to make s'mores beside her. S'mores were good enough for her right now. Rather than more bravery.

Not that she'd mind some company, but it was a bit to... effortful for her to seek it out. If it came to her though, she'd share her s'mores.

Hoshi tilted her head to one side. "Have we met before?" she asked.

"I don't believe so," Wes says. "My name's Wes."

"Nice to meet you. I'm Hoshi," she said. "Are you a new student?"

"Yep," Wes grins widely. "Actually... I don't suppose you've met a guy named Alex?" he asks.

"Not yet," said Hoshi. "I've been a little slow getting around to meet all the new people."

"Ah, cool," Wes nods. "Because he... pretty much looks like me? Only with stupid hair. I guess a few people have mixed us up already."

"Wow, that's weird," said Hoshi. "It's probably not unusual, though. There's these two girls, Jo and Meg, who look really similar. And there's Jaina and Brooke, who could be identical twins but they come from completely different worlds."

"Yeah, I think Alex is from like, a few hundred years in the future or something," Wes says. "I'm not exactly sure. So we're not like, long-lost relatives or anything."

"Really?" said Hoshi, sitting up. "I'm from the future, too. I'll have to find him now. I'm always looking for people who come from my time period."

"So you're from the future too?"

"Yeah, I'm from 2144," said Hoshi. "No one warned me about the time difference before I got here, though. That was a nice little shock."

"Me neither!" Wes says sympathetically. "Though it was a bit less of a jump for me, and in the other direction- it's only 1991 back home."

"How do you like life in the 21st century, then?" asked Hoshi.

"Well, apart from the fact that my idea of 'reality television' is 'cheesy game shows', it's pretty sweet," Wes grins.
