Scorpius campfire, Sunday evening
Amber was slouching in a lawn chair before the campfire, reflecting on how she could have possibly slept the day away. Must have been yesterday's trauma of squishing a nose. That was ten times gross.
She had slices of pepperoni skewered on a stick 'cause toasted pepperoni was sooo good; just like on a pizza. Besides, she couldn't find any hot dogs. Hopefully she didn't steal anyone's pepperoni and it's not like she was hungry, she just wanted a snack. Toasting cheese hadn't worked out so well.
[The campfire is open!]

Assuming, anyway, that the pepperoni was purchased at her store. If it wasn't, though, she'd certainly help consume it so that the next time pepperoni was purchased, it could be bought at Turtle & Canary.

"Ick. It was just icky."

Turtle, clearly, agreed. Her nose scrunched up and she shook her head, then stuck out her tongue. "Blech. Ew, ew, ew. I would have hated the mess if Liz actually caught one...Thankfully, nose hunting isn't in her programming."

"Liz? The robot security dog? ...At the store?"
no subject
"Oooooooh, okay," was all she could think of to say.
What? No one told her about Liz
and the mun had no idea whatsoever!.no subject

He didn't have anything with him, he didn't seem to want to do anything. He was just here, watching the flames, and trying to digest.

Suddenly a slice flew in the air like a frisbe, right towards him...
Ooops.

Then he dropped it and started waving his hand around.
"Ow!"
...it was hot!
no subject
"Uh, great catch?"
no subject
"Hot!"
...he'd get to multisyllables when his palm wasn't burning. Oil oil oil! He started rubbing it on his pants legs but OW THAT HURT TOO wait rub rub rub okay better.
"Thanks..."

Amber felt ten times bad now. She got up and stepped over and asked, "Can I see your hand?" Seriously, she hadn't known the pepperoni was that hot. "I'm so sorry, Liir. It was an... accident."
no subject
"It's fine. It wasn't really-- it feels hotter than it is. Don't worry about it."
He ducked his head.
"I'm fine. I promise."
And he showed his hand to her, mostly unscathed other than a greasy spot and a touch of pinkness. No actual damage, but he was a little more sensitive for the moment in the oddest of ways.
no subject
"This will help, instantly. Can I spray some on, please? Just hold your hand out..."
Amber was going to go to hell for lying. Geeze.
no subject
"It'll be fine. It's fine now. Really, I promise. Amber, please. I don't need anything."
Ozma, he was a foulup.

Then, noticing the dejection, he gestured to the seat next to him.
"Do you suppose you could shift yourself here for a time? I could use, er, sane people. I spent the weekend in Oz and I feel like I was run over with sandpaper."
