Second Floor Common Room, Monday Afternoon

Bowl of cereal in hand, Andrew flopped down on a couch and turned on the television. He flipped through the channels, finally landing on an episode of Dirty Jobs.

"Oh, Mike," Andrew said aloud, "I do so appreciate you reassuring me that life isn't that bad." He could always be working in a waste water treatment plant.

He sighed and tugged on his shorts. Going commando wasn't nearly as comfortable as he thought it would be.

As if the move back into a multi-leveled rooming facility wasn't enough to irk Adah slightly, that at least had the benefit of the fact that she shared her room only with her rabbit and a significantly less chance of being woken up any time before noon. Of course, then came the rather puzzling murd nun oc that all the undergarments that she was pretty sure she remembered to pack and take back with her seemed to be missing. It was the sort of thing that had her worried for a moment, failing brains and what have you, but, after an extensive search, it left her just realizing that she did not have enough coffee in her system to deal with this right now.

So a limp was in order, to the common room, to change that. Notebook tucked under her arm because missing underwear, it turned out, didn't make for a mood very conducive to chatter, but she didn't need to use it to express a quirked eyebrow at that Andrew guy talking to the television set on her way to the coffee machine.

Adah made a slight, leftly favoring nod back before dropping her notebook on the counter with a bit more force than necessary, and devoting her own attention to shifting single handedly, literally, through the cupboards for the things she needed for some coffee. She considered being unnecessarily loud in this task, as well, which she figured she could get away with, all things considered, but she was too curious of eavesdropping on any more conversations with the television set or if, perhaps, her tendencies to listen were a bit too obvious and the had silenced the dialog for a bit.

Carefully pouring the grounds into the filter, Adah almost let a small chuckle slip out from her, and she turned slightly, head tilted, out of a curiousity to know exactly what had been touched that couldn't be helped. She couldn't see from where she was, so the leaning grew a little more, until she could, but it looked like she missed it. Still, she was thinking it couldn't have been that bad, could it? She glanced Andrew's way, trying to judge the level of just how disgusting it could have been.

Adah stood a bit tight lipped for a moment, debating slightly, but the truly disgusted look on his face inspired her to talk after all. "Boil it," she said. "City water is still better than other water, but, either way, boil it. That kills most of the contaminates that should be in it. Of course, there's still approximately a five point seventy six chance that much of the bacteria can withstand the heat and will still get into your system to cause nearly irreparable damage to your insides."

The coffee pot gurgled into action at precisely that moment, which Adah thought was rather classic timing.

Maybe this day still had a silver lining.

Adah smirked at the slight jump. She nodded a little. "That's one method," she said. "Tearing through the lining of the stomach of that gastrointestinal juices leak out and slowly start burning your innards until it bubbles out in a foamy bile from your mouth...or other orifices, if enough pressure builds."

She paused, tilting her head thoughtfully for another one. It was hard to beat that one, though; that one was her favorite. "Sometimes," she offered finally, "they work upwards, effect your brain, make you go insane with hallucinations and paranoia."

If Adah would have known that Andrew thought that, she would have been delighted. Even without knowing it, though, she was still fairly amused and, as her coffee finished, she smirked as she held up the pot, quirked her head, swishing the contents, quite possibly filled with all sorts of bacteria from improper cleaning, or perhaps bad water, mold from not being used for three weeks while they were in the cabins...wondering if he'd like any.
