Alex was bored and since no one seemed to be occupying the third floor common room, she decided to trek on up to the fourth floor and see if anyone was around.

Peter noticed the new arrival. "Hi. Top Chef fan?"

"Hey," Alex waved slightly, smiling brightly. "I guess you could say that. I used to watch it at home, with my mom."

"Finale tonight," Peter said. He indicated a free seat. "You're welcome to join me."

"Oh, cool," Alex hadn't realized it was on. "Thanks," she smiled, taking the unoccupied seat. "I'm Alex, by the way. I don't think we've officially met before."

"Peter Petrelli," he replied. "Good to meet you, Alex. Been in Fandom long?"

"Nice to meet you, Peter," Alex nodded. "Since the start of the spring semester, you?"

"End of my sophmore year," Peter said. "I'm a senior now, though I can promise I in no way feel more mature."

"I've got a ways to go, rising sophomore and all that jazz," Alex chuckled, shaking her head. "I wonder what Fandom will throw at us next."

"The island moving from place to place is a new one," Peter said. "Though it does make vacationing easy."

"Yes, it does," Alex nodded in agreement. "I know I've enjoyed it so far."

"What's your favorite been so far?" Peter asked.

"It would probably have to be France," Alex answered, having taken a moment to think about it. "Getting to see the sights, check out some bakeries, the shopping, it was just too cool! How about you? Do you have a favorite?"

After all the time Peter spent in the library, Sam figured the least he could do was show some interest in the things Peter liked. That meant biting the bullet and dealing with some reality TV.

"So," he said, going to sit by Peter on the couch, "are you rooting for the girl, or the guy to win?"

Peter smiled when he saw Sam. "That girl or that guy. Anybody but Lisa. So we've got a two out of three chance for a happy outcome."

"The people on the internet don't seem to like her much either," Sam said. "At least, not where I was looking."

Peter looked at Sam in pleasantly surprised disbelief. "You read up on this?"

"Well, I didn't think it would make much sense if I didn't," Sam replied. "I figured at least knowing people's names would help."

"Still," Peter said, still smiling. "Anyway, it's a good ep to come in on. You get all the drama of the finale and they've got famous chefs."

"I'm going to get hungry watching this, aren't I?" Sam teased.

"Seriously," Peter said. "You should've seen the steak episode."

"No, because then I would have craved steak, and I wouldn't have the first clue about where to go to deal with the craving."

Peter looked at him sideways. "A... steak house? Grocery store? Butchers?"

"Steak isn't exactly a regular feature in the Winchester diet," Sam pointed out.

Peter stared at him with disbelief. "Dean and your dad are like the poster children for the meat and potatoes diet."
