The Dorm Roof, Saturday evening

Dick was fairly sure that the whole "volcano spewing ash" thing wasn't good, but, really, how often did you get to see something like this? Rarely if ever, that's how often.

That's why Dick was up on the roof, sitting on a lawnchair, under a patio umbrella (to keep him relatively rain and ash-free), taking pictures of the volcano. He figured he was mostly safe until there was lava anyway. In the meantime he'd get a good record of a potentially devastating natural phenomenon.

[OOC: Open in case there's anyone else ready to risk potential firey death or years of lung problems from inhaling ash in the name of a good view. Also, I don't know what it is with me and roofs today.

ETA: I was dragged off for a couple hours by a friend. Sorry for any slowness during that time!]

There was a long pause preceding that, with Cal's head tilting with a bout of inspiration that left him a little awed.

"You know," he commented, fairly certain that Dick might think him odd for the comment that was coming, but he didn't seem to care too much, "I think I've finally discovered a use for all those little smelly soaps that Ino and Amber keep forcing on me."

Cal wasn't so sure that the soaps would keep coming actually; last he checked, he wasn't exactly on good ground with either of those who otherwise so gleefully distributed to him the soaps, but that was probably for the best.

"And this way?" he pointed out. "If they're used merely as smelling soaps to keep the pungent aroma at bay? They still retain their adorable little shapes..."

"The last one I got," Cal explained, holding up his free hand to demonstrate size, "was small and blue and shaped like a wee tiny koala bear. You tell me."
