The Gym, Tuesday Morning
John was in the gym early, starting out with some blows to the heavy bag before he hopped on a treadmill. He wasn't incredibly fond of running and not going anywhere, but he was trying to force himself to get used to the feeling.
The biggest problem John faced was finding a way to clear his mind without the constant change of scenery. Increasing the speed of the machine, he shook his head, hoping to banish lingering thoughts from his weekend.
[Ooooopen!]

"I'd hate to be the who'd done whatever that bag did to you." He probably should work on not speaking the things that came into his head.

Turning to look at John he gave him an even look. "I am merely practicing."

"And potentially a methamphetamine. Not that I'd know."

Was that a small hint of a smile? Probably not.

Whoa. There was an actual sound of amusement in his voice.

"Don't you find treadmills a little tedious?" Lois asked when she came in.

"...It goes. You?"

There was a slight pause.
"Granted, I haven't seen many amazing things in my life, but that storm is going to be tough to beat."
