Second Floor Common Room [Tuesday Early Afternoon]

The facts were these: Ned was baking a pie again. He'd almost tried to theme this particular pie with that of a volcano but the volcano was long gone and so was that idea. Ned didn't really want to simulate lava in a pie anyway.

He'd chosen a new recipe this time, something he'd never baked before and had set out to prep and cook in the common room.

He wouldn't call this a routine yet but it was relaxing. And it was nice to get out of his room and do something besides annoy himself with all his issues.

[Open common room is open. Work is boring. I am hungry.]

"I think so?" Ned had no idea. "It has apples and spices in it. Fruits and minerals. Those are good for you, right?"

"Totally," Toby agreed. "You're an okay dude, pieman. I'm Toby."

"Thanks. I'm Ned," he said, smiling at the compliment. "I'd shake but my hands are covered in flour."

He showed said flour covered hands. Always an easy excuse to not touch someone. "This is about to go into the oven and then I'll cut you a piece."

"Sweet," Toby smiled and moved to lounge on a convenient sofa. "I'll just be napping a little while we wait." Toby closed his eyes and thought happy thoughts.

It's best they weren't described.
