Second Floor CR, Tuesday Night
Ella needed to mend the blouse she had torn the week before, but she was too bored and restless to stay in her room. She took it and her little sewing kit out to the common room and perched on the couch, frowning at her needle and thread. The fact she knew how to sew from her time at finishing school didn't make it any fun at all.

"You sew?"
There was no judgement there. Blair was merely gathering information.

"And hello."

in a handwavy manner, but I suppose I'm more comfortable with the stuff from home."She frowned. "You mean hemming and such? I could try. Most of what I know is more like embroidery, knitting, all of that." Nothing useful; that would be against the point of finishing school.

"Perhaps start wearing masks," Ella suggested solemnly. "You would want to hide your face in public, after all."

Fat chance, though, which was why Adah was going for the cupboard for a cup of tea while Pride hopped across the floor with random abandon. The people already in the room got a bit of a hike of her chin in a vague sort of greeting.

She glanced to the brunette making tea. "Is he yours?" she inquired.
It may have been a stupid question.

And then, as if remembering his name, he hopped back out with his head lifted, nose twitching, as if pretending that no such skittering occurred.
Adah watched it all with her amusement plainly clear in her crooked face, a mug dangling from her good hand, and she nodded a little in response.

"He's handsome," she declared. "Or she's beautiful, one can't really tell with rabbits. Or at least I can't; I'm sure you know."

The whole thing had Adah snorting. "He," she informed the other girl. What? Couldn't she tell by that alone?

"Adah," she offered, a bit reluctantly, but the days of not talking were going to pass for good once she left for Emory, so she'd better get used to it. She could still keep it simple and short, though. She gave a jerk of her head toward the rabbit. "Pride," she offered, turning a bit toward the cupboard to finish getting her tea ready.

"I generally don't tend to meet people much at all," Adah commented with a slight shrug of her good shoulder while her hand busied itself with preparing the tea.

"Please," Ella said, with a slight smile and a nod.

It was very good tea. "Thank you," she said. "What kind is this?"

Her fingers made another reach for her mug.
