Fifth Floor Bathrooms [Wednesday Night]

Gavin's shower wasn't draining. At all. And he couldn't very well go without a shower, not with hair like his (and he'd never admit to that being a girly statement), so he'd grabbed a towel, some shorts and scampered down the the communal bathrooms.

He'd had experience with these back home but never here and he almost expected a gremlin to pop out, bite him and turn him into a curly haired exercise guru.

When no gremlins appeared, Gavin disrobed and turned on the shower spray, enjoying the hot water and the quiet.

Entering the fifth floor bathroom, John was surprised to hear the water already going. "Hello?" He figured it was smart to make his presence known.

Gavin stopped from where he was enjoying his shower to crane his neck around towards the entrance?

"Hello?" he returned, not able to quite recognize the voice.

John walked toward the showers in his towel. "I didn't expect to find anyone else in here this late," he said, spotting Gavin. "And I didn't know you bathed."

"My shower's not working," Gavin said and made a face at John. "I bathe everyday. Better than your once a week crap."

"Huh, my showerhead broke," John informed him, sending back a face as he removed his towel and turned on some hot water. "And man, this water pressure is way better than in my room."

"Mine wasn't draining," Gavin said, keeping his eyes on the wall straight ahead thank you. "You had to come to this bathroom?"

Gavin forgot that John lived on this floor too.

"What? I was supposed to go all the way downstairs in my towel? I don't think so." John replied, and if he saw anything, he wasn't talking about it.

"You just keep your eyes to yourself," Gavin warned, resisting the urge to drag his towel into the shower with him. Wet towel wouldn't do any good.

"Relax, Gavin," John smiled, reaching for his shampoo. "I can only handle one girlfriend at a time."

"And I know how she has you whipped," Gavin said, resisting the urge to make the sound effect.

"And I know how scared you are of her," John replied, focusing on scrubbing his hair. "So I'm not taking that personally."

"When we're done here, I'll buy you a box of tampons," Gavin said, shaking his hair out. "My treat."

John trained a disappointed eye on Gavin. "Make sure they're super absorbent for all the blood you're gonna lose if you do."

"For your heavy days, right," Gavin said, not thinking about how they knew so much about tampons. "I'll get you winged too to avoid any mess."

"Heavy? Did you just call me fat?" And John had thought they were past this. "Okay, I'm pretty sure you're the girl now."

"Well, you do have wide hips," Gavin said, looking over at John but keeping his eyes on his face.

"Why were you looking at my hips?" John asked, pretty sure his were nicely narrow, but he was vain enough that he'd be checking later.

"They're not exactly hidden," Gavin pointed out.

John was rather ridiculous with his hair full of shampoo. "Don't you need to actually wash?" He asked, bending to grab some soap.

"I've been in here longer, I could've washed before," Gavin said and oh god, he was not looking at that. "Dude. Come on. Full moon."

"Dude, turn your head and it's not a problem!" John really didn't care if Gavin saw him naked, he was more annoyed by the insults.

And would probably be asking people about that.

"I could turn all the way around and still see you," Gavin groused. "Your ass is that big."

"Not as big as your giant forehead!" John retorted huffily. "You need to grow your hair longer if you want to hide it."

"At least my hair doesn't stick up because of the eighteen different products you put into it!" Gavin said, defensive of his hair. "I think I smell citrus. Is that your conditioner?"

"No, mine's a two-in-one. And it doesn't smell," John said defensively. Actually, it smelled like vanilla, he just didn't notice.
