The Gym, Sunday Early Morning
Ino, despite her best attempts, was still drowsy and half-asleep from the sleepover at Lana's when she slipped into the gym and started her stretches. She blinked, somewhat bemused, she'd beaten Liir. Ha.
She let herself dwell on that rather than anything that might be waiting for her to wear in her room--at least she could console herself with the fact that, no matter what he picked, she'd picked it out to buy, so it couldn't be that bad.
Right, then. No fretting allowed.
Well. Minimal flailing was permitted, seriously.
[Ino is here for Liir, but totally open for any of your Gym-ish or Ino-ish needs.]

"Sorry. I was up a bit late last night."

That fact amused her way too much. Uh huh.

He gave her a sideways look as he stretched.
"Did you sleep?"

"Actually, I've done some work on a practice stick and I want to see if it responds appropriately to you.
"It won't fly yet. I'm still working on that. We can go flying after, if you'd like."

"I see."
Then he walked back over to the quiver that held his broom and pulled out the somewhat smaller practice stick he'd packed along with it. He walked back and held it out to her.
"Take it."

"I have taken to listening to the radio," he said absently.
"Do you think you could channel a bit of chakra to your hands?"
no subject
She closed her eyes, feeling the need to do this properly, and concentrated on pulling up her chakra to her hands.
no subject
"I did have it right!"
He was too pleased to remember she'd asked something else. He'd get back to it.
"All right, all right," he said thoughtfully. "Could you channel a little more? Increase it gradually..."
no subject
Ino brought more chakra to her hands, slowly increasing the amount as she went.
no subject
"One last thing."
He held out his hand.
"May I have it for a moment?"
no subject

"Can you call up your chakra and focus on the broom? Not much, just a little."
no subject
no subject
"Sorry, sorry. No, just focus it into your hands like you were and think about the broom."
no subject
Er.
Not dirty. Yeah.

Liir, completely unabashed, lept in the air and gave a 'whoop!' like the loon he often mentioned he was.
"Perfect! Ha ha ha ha! It worked!"
no subject
"It twitches?"
no subject
"It responds to you. That was what I needed, that is what took so long to work out. I was bashing my head in practically trying to figure out how you'd be able to direct the thing, how you'd be able to make it fly, and if I'd be able to let it respond from a distance. The moving was hard enough, of course, of course but it's the first step to flying.
"But most importantly," he said, grinning his head off, "I've got it responding to you! You, with no magic you!"
