Second Floor Common Room, Tuesday evening

Sure it was cold outside due to the whole Antarctica thing. But the joy of climate controlled dorms was that Dick could put on shorts and a Hawaiian shirt and drag a patio umbrella along with some beach chairs (don't ask where he got them) into the common room to pretend it was still nice and warm.

He was also drinking soda out of a coconut-shaped mug. He was committed to the lie.

[OOC: Open. Especially open if you have a limbo stick.]

"Well, usually a lot of places start hiring at the beginning of the semester," said Hoshi. "Turtle & Canary is the only one I'd worry about because everyone shops there and it might be busy. Then again, you'd also have Apu to help you out when it got busy, so maybe it cancels out."

"I'm sure you'll find something that works for you," said Hoshi. "I know the hotel is looking for people to work on the weekends, but I know from experience that they get very, very busy if there's an event in town."

Hoshi looked a little embarrassed as she added, "During Parents Weekend last year, I came in to help out, saw how crowded it was, turned around and ran all the way back to the dorms."

She nodded. "I'd p-probably do s-something similar right n-now," Hinata confessed. "O-Or just w-wind up s-standing there and unable to s-speak."

"Definitely not good," said Hoshi. "You really want to take things at your own pace. Putting yourself in that situation won't help."
