Seregil was sitting in the common room with his harp, idly playing whatever came into his head. He was out here instead of in his room because he had gotten tired of Bob offering musical critique.

Besides every now and then a change of scenery can be good for one's soul.

Ino... was not really a music lover. Definitely not. And she'd been trying to plan things. It was pretty though.

So, while she was making a bit of a face as she peeked into the common room, it wasn't an entirely annoyed one. Skill, in anything, was always a good thing really.

"...must you?" Ino asked plaintively.

"Must I what?" Seregil asked, fingers still playing nimbly.

"That," she said waving her hand at the harp. "And do it well enough I can't even get really cranky about the noise."

This was a compliment, honest. She was just going to sulk about it a bit.

"Then yes, I must," Seregil said. "To keep my skills sharp so I can continue to do it well enough you can't even get cranky."

Ino considered that.

Then stuck her tongue out at him. "I bet I could find something else to get cranky about."

"Such as?" Seregil asked, grinning at her.

"Oh," Ino said slowly, pretending to consider it. "Just about everything really. At some point or another. Maybe I'll get angry about your smile, yeah?"

"I could," she affirmed. "But I might not."

"Ah, a woman's perogative," Seregil observed.

"Always," she informed him. "Because that way is the most fun, seriously."

"Even when being cranky?"

"Cranky," Ino told him loftily. "Is part of the fun."

Helen rolled her eyes. "Leave him alone. I like the music."

"Congratulations," Ino drawled. "Your taste does not equal everyone's taste, yeah?"

"Two to one," Helen said, putting her hands on her hips. "We win."

Ino rolled her eyes. "There's no win in different taste. And I already told him it's too pretty to get mad at even if I don't really like it."

"Then why do you not just let him play? Or go shut yourself in your room if you don't like it?"

"Please," she said. "As if I'd let it go on without commenting."

Helen rolled her eyes. "Yes, I suppose that would be far too much to ask from someone like you."

"Oh, petty insults," Ino laughed. "Because that's going to work. Whatever."

"Just move on, blonde girl, so that the rest of us can enjoy the music."

"Piss off," Ino said determinedly cheerful. "I don't have to listen to you at all. So shove off with the orders."

Helen laughed. "Piss off. What a funny saying. Piss off."

Ino raised her eyebrows. Um. "So glad you think so?"
