Rikku bounced down to the gym and started laying out mats, when she got distracted by a colorful green bird swooping in and landing on her .... shoulder!?

"Did you need something?" she asked, staring. *Rawk! Did you need something?*

"I kinda need to set up cheer," she frowned. *I kinda need to set up cheer!*

"Oooooh, this could be kinda fun," she chirped. (And, of course, the same echo came back.)

Cheer was mostly set up. And Rikku was ... making friends.

Brooke had spent a good part of her morning at least trying to shoo that stupid bird off her shoulder (it didn't seem to want to accept that it was not an accessory), and was happy to get to practice. Where things were normal.

John was mostly trying to shove the parrot off his shoulder. Stupid bird.
