The Roof: Friday Afternoon

It was a nice hot summer day and Jamie was happily on the roof looking down over the school grounds.

Of course the reason he might be happy is that he had a large supply of water ballons sitting next to him and he was looking for a target.

Time to get wet!

[For anyone who wants to toss water balloons or for anyone who wants to get splatted from above.]

Unsuspecting Sokka was unsuspecting as he walked back to the dorm from class.

And that would be cause for three water balloons to come raining down in Sokka's direction.

And Jamie to duck back down to hide from being seen.

A drenched Sokka looked around angrily. "KATARA!!!" he growled.

And if Sokka could hear anything from the roof there would be some definite sounds of laughter.

Which was followed by another water balloon.

Sokka looked up in time to get another water balloon to the face. NOT Katara, then.

"YOU BETTER WATCH IT!" he yelled, as he ran towards the lobby door.

Well might as well go for broke. Three more water balloons were thrown as Jamie made a duplicate, armed with balloons, to guard the entrance to the roof.

Two of them hit their target, but the last impacted on the door as Sokka opened it.


A few minutes later, a very tired Sokka burst through the door to the roof carrying a large pitcher full of water.

"Hi Sokka!" The two Jamies greeted him and then threw a few water balloons at him as he came toward them.

Sokka didn't say anything, but just raised an eyebrow at the nearest Jamie and glared at him long and hard. Then he steadied the pitcher with both hands and tossed the water at the dupe.

Jamie laughed as the water splashed on him.

"So does this mean you'll join my fight against the dry and unsuspecting?"

Sokka grinned evilly and headed over to the water balloons. "Absolutely!"

That didn't stop him from throwing the first few he picked up at both Jamies.

A soaking wet Jamie absorbed his dupe and shook his head. "Are we even yet?"

And before he got an answer threw another water balloon back.

Sokka caught the balloon and waggled his eyebrows at Jamie. He faked a throw, and then grinned. "Now, we are."

"And here I thought you'd be grateful for getting cooled down on such a hot summer's day," Jamie snickered.

Sokka gave him a long, hard look. "No, you didn't," he chuckled, tossing the balloon at Jamie.

Jamie laughed and continued to throw balloons back at him as he went to take cover.

Clueless Jack was clueless as he ambled away from the dorm.

And a water balloon sailed towards the mullet as Jamie ducked down again to avoid being seen.

Sploooch! "What the hell was that?!" Jack looked around. And up. What?

Two more balloons rained down from above, and Sokka ducked back down.

"Shoot, I think he saw me," he told Jamie.

"How could he with all that hair?"

Sploosh again. Doubleshot. "I saw that!" Jack shook his head to clear the water from his eyes and raced up to the top of the building, planning on taking out whoever was messing with the 'do him.

"It's NOT A PONYTAIL!!!" Sokka protested, as he grabbed a few more balloons and turned to aim at the door.
