Second Floor Girls' Bathroom, early Wednesday morning

Gladys was in the bathroom with the door shut. It was her Holy Day, but after last night's performance, she had make up to remove before she went off to Be A Golem.

When you were made of clay, make up removal wasn't as simple as it sounded. She was using steel wool, and she was scrubbing hard.

As befitted a bathroom, the door was closed.

There was a knock on the door. La la la.

"It Is A Bathroom. If You Are A Girl You Do Not Have To Knock," Gladys intoned, scrubbing even harder.

There was a moment of silence.

"Singing telegram."

She put down the steel wool and started rinsing her face. "I Have Never Had A Singing Telegram Before, But I Must Finish Cleaning Off The Make Up," she said, eyes flickering. "It Is Important To Begin The Day Fresh Faced."

There was a pause. It may have been waiting.

"Housekeeping."

"I Have A Towel For You." Gladys gathered up the towel and tromped over to the door, which she opened wide, and stepped out, towel extended...

...at which point a land shark attempted to devour her head.

And it succeeded, Gladys' last thought as she was devoured that she would really have liked to have gotten a singing telegram.
