Wee Gremlin Campfire [Friday Evening]

With another week in the book and a new weekend approaching, Hannibal decided to get started on the laziness by taking up a spot near the campfire with a very plain looking bottle (and he might share the contents if asked nicely) and a good book.

Like he was going to read the book. No, it was merely to rest his feet on. It wasn't much of a stool but hey, it worked in a pinch.

Marco spent the day alternating being bored and being emo...it was an odd combination. He nodded at the guy hanging out by the campfire and flopped down on the ground.

"Long day?" Hannibal greeted, nodding at Marco.

"I enjoy making people get confused." Marco said, grammar flying out the window. "Marco."

"Hannibal King," he said, nodding. "You enjoy making people get confused? How exactly?"

"It's wasn't a banana." Marco informed him.

"Random," Hannibal said slowly. "Was it a mango?"

"No, it was a banana. I asked." Marco informed him.

"You confused people with a banana?" Hannibal asked, trying to follow. "Did you...hit them in the eye with banana juice?"

"...That's just gross." Marco informed him.

"Original footstool," Angela remarked, sitting down nearby with a mug of hot chocolate.

"Eh, it does the job," he said, tapping the book with the heel of his shoe. "I'll get you one of your own. They're cheap so my treat."

Angela snickered. "Cheap, and they serve a dual purpose. You can read it later."

"What more could you want?"

"My thoughts exactly," he said, grinning. "How'd your week go? Break any hearts?"

Angela gave an over-dramatic sigh. "No. I must be losing my touch."

"Have you?" she returned.

"Oh yeah, all over the place," he said, waving a hand. "I let them down easy though. I'm a kind, gentle soul."

"Aww." Angela grinned, wrapping her hands firmly around her drink. "I'm sure they all appreciate that."

"I'm mean and dump 'em hard, on the other hand," she added with a little smirk. "Can't you just see it?"

"I'm sure you've let a trail of broken hearts and broken men from here and back," he said, laughing. "You're just badass."

Brooke had been horribly ignored had been off doing her own thing instead of socializing, and she thought it was about time she fixed that.

Nodding towards the book, she said, "Good use for it."

"Think so?" He smiled up at her. "Feel free to share. I got room."

"How nice of you," she said, taking a seat. "Are you sure about the room, though?"

"Very sure," he said, nodding solemnly. "I am always willing to make room for you."

See, this was why she had to be more social. She liked getting her flirt on. "I can't imagine why you're so nice to me." Right.

"You can't?" He feigned shock. "I can't just be this nice guy that you know with a big smile and a kind heart?"

"I'm sure you could be," she said, playing along.
