The Camp Gym, Sunday Early Morning

[intraspective]

Ino blinked in bemusement when she got to the gym and found that, wonder of wonders, she’d actually beaten Liir.

Grinning a bit at that—such a stupid, simple thing really, but it made her happy—Ino fell to stretching out for practice.

Only to find stretching out promptly aborted as a spider scuttled towards her.

“Nuh huh,” she said firmly, frowning severely at it and wondering at her odds of squashing it with her sandals were. “You’re not stalking me.”

[Ino is here for Liir, but totally open for any of your Ino-ish or gym-ish needs.]

"Not with this. I'm actually glad you haven't taught me more so that i would take the time to get this down properly.

"I meant I'd practiced a lot since I haven't had much else to do."

"You," Ino decided, tossing her head to try and keep from looking too pleased. "Definitely need a hobby if training is pretty much all you've got to do."

"My hobby has become my work, and I'm looking for something new to try but nothing's really caught my eye. Sewing would be practical, but it's nothing that interests me at the moment.

"And of course there's magic, but I've hit something of a wall there."

"A wall?" Ino asked, finishing her stretching now that the spider was gone.

"I've got plenty of research material, so should I wish to take on another project such as your Staff, I could. But I don't have anything which provides any kind of class structure or step by step instructions for anything."

"Then why not take on a project?" Ino asked curiously.

"Because I don't have anything I want to make. I never want to do magic just for magic's sake, at least not major magic like that."

Ino pondered that, then grinned teasingly. "You know," she said, eyes sparkling, "I do believe you promised me a piece of the moon for my garden at one point."

She was kidding, seriously. But he had said it.

"...would you really want a piece of the moon, or simply something to illuminate the garden at night."

Wait a minute.

"And you never told me if those flower seeds I got you were able to grow here to any effect."

[intraspective]

"They're gorgeous," she told him, grinning. "Utterly fantastic."

A beat.

"And a piece of the moon, I admit, would totally have more of a fairy feel to it," Ino admitted. "But I definitely wouldn't protest to something that illuminated my garden, even if it wasn't part of the moon."

Ino was rather sure that moons didn't work that way anyway.

He considered the problem.

"Hmmm...I'll have to see.

"Perhaps I'll think of something that'll be a bit of both."

"Does this mean you've got a project now?" she wondered, finishing up stretching.

"I might. It might be simple or it might be complex. I'll have to figure out which one it is later."

He rolled his head around to make sure his neck was stretched. And looked at her expectantly.

"Should I feel bad that your projects seem to benefit me in some way?" Ino asked, slipping into a stance and waiting for him to follow. "Because that's totally not the intention, you know."

He followed a moment later.

"I didn't figure it was, but it is easier to do projects for you besides. And if you provide the guidance..."

He shrugged quickly, not wanting to muddle up the stance.

She grinned a bit. "I'll believe you then," Ino told him, glancing over his stance carefully. "Just, you know, wanted to make sure you knew that totally wasn't the only reason I adore you."

It wasn't even, like, a consideration to that.

"No, I didn't think so,' he said, though there'd been a little doubt when she'd gotten angry at something the other week. But that was quickly cleared up.

"You deal with far too much nonsense from me for me to seriously consider that."

He grinned at her as he made sure he was in the right positions.

"You'd better not consider it at all," she said severely, checking that is position was correct, and then shifting to another one.

He followed her carefully, going over the movements between once, twice, and a final time before he settled in.

"I don't."

"Just making sure," she said, shifting to another stance easily.

He followed, making sure to repeat a few times before settling into it.

"Just assuring you," he told her with a faint smile.
