[Main Campfire, Thursday Afternoon]

Bumblebee had several times made the attempt to get back to the dorms, but had no luck in convincing whatever powers were at work that he needed to be there sufficiently bad enough to merit a pass.

So, in annoyance, he'd settled by the campfire for a nap. If nothing else he'd recharge his solar receptors while waiting to try again, because he sorely needed access to a hose if the thin layer of dirt all over his armor and windows was anything to go by.

Of course, no nap in a public space could go unpunished - while he rested, someone came by and wrote "WASH ME" in the dustiest part of Bumblebee's windshield. The automotive equivalent of a "kick me" sign, as Bumblebee had no idea and wouldn't until someone else pointed it out.

[OOC: Open! A certain individual modded with permission, yes.]

Trying to head into town for catfood, Teddy found himself at the main campfire.

By a car.

That was... different. "Hello? Anyone here?"

"...hi?"

Which made conversation awkward. But Teddy really needed to branch out in his knowledge of the social habits of aliens.

"I coulda sworn I was headed toward town," He said, nodding.

"I think the islands just likes messing with us most of the time," Teddy grumbled, taking a seat by the fire.

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2008-08-15 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
That deserved a pause.

"That's... possible."

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2008-08-15 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
"There have been stranger things than a living island," Teddy replied. "Like... um... When we were in black and white for a dance!"

"Well, normally we're in color and for that we were like an old TV show. You know, black and white."

Liir settled in at the main campfire, a little confused at the strange metal contraption that was settled there. He looked a little lost, as if he didn't know quite what he should do with himself, but he watched the fire almost as if it might answer him.

Liir waved from one of the darker areas, where the firelight didn't seem to flicker for whatever reason.

"See, things happen weird here way to much for it to be a non-sentient island." Teddy shrugged. "The gender changes are the worst."

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2008-08-15 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
Teddy waved back. "You get lost too?"

[identity profile] new-to-liirness.livejournal.com 2008-08-15 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
He startled and looked around for a moment before his eyes rested on the yellow thing. After all, that's where the sound had come from.

"Yes. Yes, I can. Are you the, er, yellow thing? Sir?"

Sir was always good.

[identity profile] new-to-liirness.livejournal.com 2008-08-15 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
He shook his head.

"I didn't know what to do with myself, so I came this way. I got lost the other day; couldn't do my laundry for almost an hour."

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2008-08-15 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
Teddy waved vaguely at his chest. "I couldn't change them back."

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2008-08-15 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
"I keep trying to get to town for shopping and--" Teddy waved around the campfire. "Here I am."

[identity profile] new-to-liirness.livejournal.com 2008-08-15 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh? Looking for anything specific?"

He was just sort of curious.
