The Deck, Monday afternoon

There were no clases for a week. It was still summer. There was absolutely nothing to do.

Clearly this meant that Brooke had to be out on the deck with a glass of iced tea, hanging out in a chair and soaking up some rays while she still could. There was no other option here.

"No, it's okay," Brooke assured her. "Thirty is the new twenty. Or... did you mean the 'I can't believe I'm not my own age there' thing?"

"Little bit of both," Angela admitted, rearranging her sunglasses on her head. "I try not to think about that side of things too much. Gives me a headache after a while."

"And causes worry lines. It's much easier all the way around to just go with it," Brooke said, and shared, "My ex is here and has another version of me back home."

"Okay, that's also freaky," Angela agreed. "It's one thing to assume there's another version of you out there, and another to actually know someone who knows them... If that makes sense?"

"Oh, I'm with you. That's why I just can't think about it. I'll get stuck with a permanent migraine."
