Second Floor Common Room [Sunday Evening]
Ned wasn't baking tonight. He had a pie he'd baked earlier but it was half gone and so was he...in the sleep sense. He hadn't meant to fall into a light doze in the common room, all sprawled out on one of the chairs with the half eaten pie on his lap. It'd just happened.
He'd taken the words 'lazy Sunday' to the next level it would seem. The television was on low, not that Ned was paying attention.
[Despite appearances, common room is open. He's a light sleeper so he'll wake up if he hears noise but feel free to try and take the pie or not wake him.]

She didn't notice Ned, but Yei most certainly did, and the kitten bounded over to sniff at and try to chew on Ned's pant leg.

"Hi kitty," he mumbled sleepily.

Hinata paused, and glanced back over her shoulder. "A-Ano," she said, flushing at her lapse in checking the room thoroughly before entering. "S-Sorry to w-wake you."
Yei, it should be known, wasn't sorry at all.

"She l-likes attention," Hinata said fondly. "Her n-name is Yei."
And Yei wanted pettings! She mewed beseechingly while Hinata stifled a grin.

"I'm Ned," he said conversationally. "Good thing I didn't bring my dog down here. Digby hasn't met many cats."

"Y-Yei doesn't mind t-them," she offered. "H-Hoshi-san has o-one and t-they get along w-well enough in the s-same room. It is n-nice to meet you, I a-am Hinata."

And Yei was just going to try and pounce on his shoe now.

Which, really, meant she was a ninja. But Hinata didn't expect him to know that.

Ino-san, Hinata assumed, knew everyone.
