Monday: All around Dorms and Front Lobby [10-6-08]

Bright and early Monday morning a bunch of posters went up around the school and dorms:

Come on down to the first floor lobby and stick your name and your preferred gender(s) in the box and we'll do our best to connect you with another single looking for a date to Homecoming.

All sign-ups must be in by 9AM Wednesday so we have time to matchmake!

Either Peyton or Angela were around all day to answer any questions.

[OOC: We'll do our best to match your characters with someone. If two characters want to be 'accidentally' matched with each other please have both people comment in the appropriate thread. If your character would never sign up IC, but you want them involved anyway, well, Angela and Peyton can always mistake that unidentifiable squiggle for their name. Ooops! Paperwork error!

And yes, both Peyton and Angela are looking for dates of their own]

She's looking for a date, too!

Angela had a magazine with her, which she was flipping through to catch up on celebrity gossip.

She was however, also keeping a close eye out for anyone she might be able to encourage into joining thier little scheme.

"Hey, Angela," Joan said, wandering past on her way out to explore. "You guys are planning to play match maker?"

"Yes we are," Angela confirmed with her most encouraging smile. "Interested?"

"... I don't know," Joan said. "I wasn't really planning to go to the dance."

"It's homecoming." Yes, she says that like it means something completely different from just plain ol' 'dance'.

"Why wouldn't you want to go?"

Joan shrugged. "Last dance I went to didn't turn out so well."

Admittedly, it could have turned out worse, but that's beside the point.

"You really shouldn't let one bad experience put you off, Sweetie," Angela said. "You might just might regret it later."

"Hmm, well, I guess if there's someone you can match me up with, I might go," Joan said.

"Yay!" Angela grinned, obviously loving this matchmaker role. She slid a bit of paper towards her along with a pen.

"We can't guarantee anything obviously, but we can definitely try," she told Joan. "Drop your name and preference in the box, and we will do our best to match you up with someone."

Joan shook her head but jotted down her info. "All right," she said. "Here you go."

Angela popped it into their box. "Excellent," she said cheerfully.

"Oh, and I heard you made student council," Angela added. "Congrats."

Penelope was really rather unsure about this whole dating process. But... maybe. Wouldn't hurt her chances on finding a blueblood at least.

"Hello," she said tentatively, appearing shy behind the cover of her mask.

Ichigo barrelled down the stairs on his way to class and found himself coming do a stop in front of one of the big posters.

Crap.

He glanced around warily, spotting the two girls (well, mostly Angela as she had threatened him yesterday) and then he tried to quickly and effectively make a dash for the door.

Hurley wandered through the lobby and spotted Angela and her table.

He laughed.

"Funny little scheme thing you've got going."

Hey, you asked...

Peyton smiled at her. "Hey Penelope, how's it going? Need a date for the dance?"

She smiled at Peyton. "I'm not sure anyone would go with me, but I kind of like the idea of it."
