The Range - Girls With Guns [Wednesday afternoon]

Triela was not her usual grinning self today as she arrived nearly ten minutes late for gun club. She glanced around, hoping that no one had showed up and left.

She had a killer headache, so she sat down immediately and proceeded to rub lightly at her temples.

[ooc: Zomg! Apologies for the late. Thank goodness for wifi on the bus, huh?]

As usual, Turtle was making sure her gun was well taken care of before even thinking about shooting it.

Dojima was there... with a guest.

There would be no shooting for her today, unless someone was willing to take a baby Ewok off her hands for a few moments.

"Whoah! You have a baby bear!" Momoko zoomed over as soon as she noticed the wee fuzzy one. "How cute! Is he friendly? Is it a he or a she? It's real, right - not a robot? Although a robot baby bear would be cute, too. Ahah!" She reached a finger towards it.

"Ano, Skywalker called it an Ewok or something like that," Dojima said, shifting her cargo so Momoko could give it a pat if she wanted. "He didn't tell us their names or anything, so I don't know if it's a boy or a girl."
heromaniac: (smile giggle)

She totally wanted and did. "So soft and fuzzy! An 'ewok'? Ooh. So it's an assignment, right? Ah, it's so very cute! What do you call it if Mr Skywalker didn't tell you it's name?"

"Right now I call it 'No Don't Touch That,'" Dojima laughed. "You should have seen it try to 'help' during my cooking class."

"But yeah, it's an assignment. Like those classes that give you an egg or a robot baby, and you're supposed to be a parent. This little bear is a product of my 'lust' with Worf-san."
heromaniac: (Laughter)

Momoko laughed. "You're going to give the poor thing a complex, calling it that! Worf didn't mention you two were parents when we were in Flight club earlier. It he really that bothersome? The baby, not Worf. It totally looks like he's a he, with those big eyes and super cute nose. Yes, you have big big eyes, don't you? Yes you do!"

That last bit was addressed to the baby, with a bit of cooing.

"I don't want to give it a name if it has one!" she flailed. "What if I cause more trauma?!?"
heromaniac: (uhuhm)

Re: Mingle

[personal profile] heromaniac 2008-11-13 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
"Ah! On no! I didn't think of that! Oh wow. Mr Skywalker is mean! You have to go for a whole week not being able to talk to the poor baby because you don't know his name?" Momoko joined in the flailing. "Uhm uhm... Can you just call him 'little one' or 'dear child' or something? Don't all moms call their babies nicknames like that?"

"Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuub!" The wokling agreed, waving its little arms. "Yub Yub Nub!"

"I have no idea what you are saying," Dojima informed it. "Fuzzy. I shall call you Fuzzy, 'cause it's gender-neutral. I am not having you grow up to have Issues just because I don't know if you're a girl bear or a boy bear."
heromaniac: (big eye curious)

Re: Mingle

"Fuzzy's good, right? It can be an endearing name. Not at all harmful and definitely true!" Momoko smiled at the yubbing ewok but was still slightly flustered at the thought of contribution to the trauma of a minor. "Uhm. Is that all Fuzzy says? Yub nub? That's very cute! I wonder what parent ewoks are like?"

Re: Mingle

[identity profile] dojima-hime.livejournal.com 2008-11-13 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Fuzzy is totally endearing," Dojima agreed, trying to keep her hair out of the reach of little wokling hands. It was more endearing than 'hey you', anyway. "The little thing just says yub and nub and some other sounds I don't recognize."

Re: Mingle

[personal profile] heromaniac 2008-11-13 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
Momoko fidgeted a moment. "Uhm. If you like, I could hold fuzzy while you shoot. Or is it not allowed because of the assignment?" She really wouldn't squeeze hard at all; Fuzzy wasn't Fandom weirdness. "I wouldn't drop it, I promise!"

Re: Mingle

[identity profile] dojima-hime.livejournal.com 2008-11-13 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
Dojima brightened visibly. "Would you? I'm afraid to even get my gun out of the locker and clean it with him. Her. Fuzzy! Fuzzy likes to play with things that Are Not Toys. Like hair, or pasta dough."
heromaniac: (Sparkles)

Re: Mingle

[personal profile] heromaniac 2008-11-13 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
"Ah! Please?" Momoko bounced and reached out to take the wee one. "And yes, Fuzzy's likely to try to eat the cleaning oil! Would you like to come see aunty Momoko, Fuzzy? Wanna play with me while mommy has some mommy-time?"
heromaniac: (here i come)

Momoko rushed to Gun club, possibly making a detour to see if there were still those fun singing bass in front of the dorm. What? They made her laugh.

And then ,of course, Turtle was shooting, letting off a steady round of carefully aimed bull's eyes.
