Third Floor Commonroom - Saturday evening, 11/29
Liir had had some laundry to do, which had gotten done earlier today, and now was getting to some baking.
The first tray, the madeleines, were already done and had been separated; most on a platter for anyone who would come by and the rest in small bags for him to keep in his bag.
The second tray, which had just come out required coating in the chocolate sauce that was carefully simmering on the stove. Watching both the tray and the pan, Liir had to admit from the lovely chocolate mint smell that the new recipe was one he would have to use again.
Though he had to wonder why it was called a 'thin mint' with all that butter in it...
[open as common rooms are, with thin mint approximations!]

It was obvious he was listing things off in his head.

"Everything I make is for sharing," he said. "Just let me finish the chocolate ones."

The long, looong rumble of a grunt that emerged out of him once he spotted what it was Liir was baking was a pretty good sign of approval.
Oh, and the thumbs up helped, probably, too.

"You're welcome to the madeleines,' he offered, "as these'll be done soon enough."

"Still have to dip these."
Thankfully, he'd already put out the parchment; the last time he'd tried something similar, he'd forgotten until he had a wet and dripping cookie and nothing to put it on.
"It's been a while."

Of course, he was asking through a mouthful of food by that point, so it was a bit muffled.

"Sure," he offered as he pointed to the sink and the paper.
"Scrub up and I'll be happy for the help. Especially as I'd like the coating to be smooth."
no subject
"And how do you make sure they're smooth?"
no subject
"With the two of us, it should be done quickly enough."

"You're welcome to anything on the counter."

"Yes. It's... something of a hobby, cooking. And I don't eat much, so, er, yes, I like giving it away."

Though the faint smile on his face said he had an idea of what other people thought of his cooking.
