The Gym, Thursday morning

Amber should have taken into consideration the amount of eggnog she drank yesterday, before agreeing to dance for Triela this morning. A hot shower helped some, and putting on her tap costume livened her spirit even more. But ugh, talk about a headache that Tylenol wasn't helping fast enough.

She arrived early enough to set up her portable cd player and then worked on stretching. Its been a while since she's tapped and she felt oddly rusty. Hopefully by the time Triela arrived, she'd have worked out all the kinks and decided the best way to do that was to go through her routine, at least once.

"Why not? Seems like you might be good enough," Triela leaned forward, genuinely curious.

"I don't think it will pay the bills, Triela. And while I'm good, I'm not good enough. Not by a long shot."

"Well, you're the expert," Triela shrugged. Then grinned.

"Not an expert," she chuckled. "Besides, I want to be a journalist."

Triela blinked. "I didn't know that!"

She was beginning to realize that there was a lot about her roommate that she didn't know.

Amber really didn't talk a whole lot about herself. About her family, yes, but her? Not just randomly.

"Mhm, I do."

"How come?" Triela leaned forward, voice curious.

"I like the investigative side to it. Finding the story, you know? My mind finds it exciting."

"That's pretty cool," Triela nodded. "What about the writing part? That's hard to do well, right?"
