The Roof, Late Saturday Afternoon

Once Anemone had realized how beautiful it was outside, the beginnings of a new Evil Plan had started forming almost immediately. All it needed was her current co-conspirator.

It had taken her the entire morning to track down Warren, point out all the wonderful benefits of her new plan, get back to the dorms, and (sneakily) lug their equipment up the stairs. The ammunition was heavier than she expected, especially after carrying it all the way to the roof, but this was totally going to be worth it.

Anemone surveyed their set up gleefully. "Ready to commence bombing procedures?" she asked, skipping over to peer down at the ground. "This is going to be great!"

Those going in and out of the dorms had best beware of falling water balloons filled with last week's mix of glitter and tinsel!

[OOC: Up early for SP/timezone reasons, and takes place after this is done, as attacking a victory-burning is totes sacrilegious. The partner-in-crime is again modded with permission.]

Anemone and Warren are throwing water balloons over the side of the roof, trying to splash as many people as they can on this warm summer-ish day.

[OOC: For those on the ground...feel free to mod your water balloon experience!]

It was a sunny day, great and warm, and Jack was out enjoying it.

Until a great big ol' splooosh! coated him....with glitterwater. "Oh, for the love of Pete!"

For those that want to come upstairs and talk to the culprits or join in the tossing!

Finals were over and apparently the island decided to celebrate by having a day of warm sunny weather in the middle of December. Or so Momoko decided. What to do with her day, then? She could go into town. Or watch TV? Ah! She kept hearing about other students spending time up on the roof - maybe today she'd check that out. Especially if she ever wanted to use it to take off from for flying.

Finally locating the stairs, she skipped eagerly up them and through the rooftop door, tilting her head and smiling at the sunlight that greeted her. "It really is warm out! Wow! I hope I didn't do something stupid like sleep through Christmas!"

Anemone had turned at the initial sound of someone coming out on the roof, water balloon in-hand if needed.

She grinned when she realized it was Momoko, and took a second to carelessly toss her balloon over the side of the building. "If you slept through Christmas, so did we," she answered, looking to see if she'd managed to splash anyone. Nope. Darn. "Not that I'd mind, if it stays this warm all winter."

Momoko grinned when she spotted Anemone, but the grin changed to confused blinking when she saw her toss the object in her hand over the edge. "Ah! You dropped your thing!" She rushed to the edge of the roof in time to see the balloon go splish on the ground. "Eh? Water balloons?!"

[OOC: no prob :)]

"Glitter water balloons," Anemone corrected, picking up another one and tossing it from hand to hand with a grin. "It's our civic duty to help keep our classmates cool, and in the spirit of the holiday."

"But tossing water balloons at people in winter is just mean! How is that at all Christmassy?" Momoko turned and frowned, her eyes following the balloon as it flew back and forth. "Well, I guess the glitter part could be Christmassy, especially if it was made from the evil garland from a few days ago, but still isn't it mean to just toss it at people?"

She wasn't a goody-two shoes, but she was supposed to be a Heroine of Justice, after all, and they weren't supposed to be mean to people.

"It's made from the tinsel," Anemone admitted. "And it's not really winter right now, right? It's hot outside!"

"Besides, if you don't want to throw it at people, you throw it next to them so it gives a big splash, and yell 'bombs away' or something like that," she said simply. "It's an unconventional glittery gift!"

Anemone still didn't quite grasp the concept of Christmas, no. Not really.

Momoko was wavering. Anemone was very convincing. And Anemone was an experienced mecha pilot; obviously that meant she was a Heroine of Justice herself and if she was doing it... Momoko eyed the stockpile.

"Well, it is hot out, even though it is the middle of winter. Kinda really hot, right? And the water would probably cool people off, like you said." And Momoko enjoyed playing pranks that didn't hurt people, like the fish on the sidewalk and the annoying buttons they'd put up all over town. "And it is kind of holiday-like, since it's made of tinsel. And unless it's evil garland that's pulling your hair, sparkly is always good..."

Actually, Anemone was more of a retired Heroine of Evil Justice, but she was Getting Better. Mostly.

"Totally," she agreed, holding out the balloon with a smile. "Bonus points if you hit any of those squirrels that are always spying on people!"

Momoko took the balloon and held it a moment. So much for wavering! She grinned and nodded. "Deal! Although I don't think I've ever seen one of the reporter squirrels. Are they really squirrels or is that just like a title they give to the people who work there?"

She leaned over the edge and looked to see if someone was about to pass underneath.

"I've never seen one," Anemone admitted as she grabbed another balloon and peered over the edge. "So I don't really have any idea. If we hit anything that moves, we'll probably get one eventually!"

There was a flash of movement and Momoko let go of her balloon. "Happy Christmas!" She called out, then watched as the balloon struck right next to the person walking below. She giggled and ducked back from the edge when the target looked up. "I missed. Hey! Did I say thanks to you the other day for giving me the flying lessons? I had a lot of fun!"

There are boxes and boxes of water balloons in strategic places all over the roof, and really, they should have expected this outcome.

FIGHT!

I place all the blame for this one the sheer amount of sugar I've consumed over the past week at various holiday functions. It's warping my brain.
