Fourth floor common room, Saturday afternoon

Sometimes the best way to spend a day was sacked out on a couch with all kinds of junk food watching really bad horror movies. Dean had decided that today was such a day. So here he was ensconced on the couch in the common room surrounded by lots of snacks that were really bad for him, watching a movie on Sci Fi that was so bad he was halfway certain that forcing someone to watch it would be labelled a crime against humanity.

Just what he'd wanted.

Jack plopped into an open seat. "Hey. How's it going?" He stared at the awfulness of the movie. "All right!"

"Just enjoying it. Day off, nothing to do." He tore his vision from the movie. "Is that even possible?"

"Oh, man, these are bad. Is there a sequel?"

"If this is the sequel....how bad was the original?" He was betting pretty bad.

"I could make something better than this."

Peyton was finding the quiet a little crazy-making, so she left her room looking for company she could tolerate. She wasn't at all disappointed to find Dean watching bad movies. "Hey," she drawled. "How's it going?"

"Can't complain," she said lightly. "Well, yes, I can, but I'm trying to be the happier brighter Peyton Sawyer, so I won't."

"No holidays," Peyton admitted. "Dad couldn't make it back. Well, okay, he would have come if I'd asked, but he and his crew have a chance to make some really serious money if they finish this job before everything starts back up on January 5th."

She made a face. "I couldn't tell him I wanted him home. It's hard enough for him as it is."

Penelope came back late last evening; she'd had enough of her mother, and Edward, and the engagement ring on her finger didn't help ease any of the misgivings she had where he was concerned.

So she wandered the floors and found a common room that was preoccupied. Her roommate was still gone and she didn't feel like being alone.

Seeing Dean, she gave him a small smile. "Hello, Dean."

"Fine, thank you," she returned politely. She sat down in a chair and folded her hands together on her lap. "How are you? Did you have a wonderful Christmas?"

She smiled. "How sweet. I've always wondered what it would be like to have a sister or brother, but then I imagine most only children do. What a lovely name your baby sister has. And my Christmas was just fine. I went home to be with my parents but I came back a day early. Mother can be grating."

"Dean," Angela greeted, cheerfully settling down on one of the couches.

She paused, eying the TV a moment. "Uh, what're you watching?"

[identity profile] flashesforinfo.livejournal.com 2008-12-28 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
"That's disgusting," she said of something on screen. She didn't show any signs of moving, though, and curled up a little more comfortably.

"That..." Angela nodded, finally tearing her eyes away from the screen. "Really," she agreed.

"What is having way too much free time for if not mocking bad movies, right?"
