First floor, Friday afternoon after the assembly

After the joy that was a lecture on drugs from Fandom High teachers, Dinah headed back to the dorm and played video games in the Rec Room for a while, considering another assault on the laundry machines.

She paused outside the door that lead to the Laundry Room for a second, then just settled for yelling, "This isn't over!" in its general direction.

Two more steps, and the washers had their comeback, as hoodie, t-shirt, pajama pants, boots, coat and long underwear vanished.

"Eeeep!"

"Thanks," Dinah blurted, then put her hands over her face in some futile hope that if she couldn't see cute-shirtless-semi-naked Priestly, he couldn't see her. Ha. "Nice boxers."

Priestly didn't so much as nod as bob his whole body up and down in an automatic reaction to try to warm up. "Thanks." He pointed a shaky hand towards the doors, his brain still trying to get him moving up the stairs to at least find some pants. "It's-s f-freakin' c-cold out."

"Noticed that," Dinah said, her voice getting really high. Which made her think of his comment on Wednesday about his balls falling off, and God, she hated her brain, because that meant she had to peek again to check on him.

Ooo. "Umm. You should. I'm going to... you're gonna need..." Nice verbiage there too, Dinah.

Priestly didn't follow. He was too busy bouncing and mumbling "coldcoldcoldc-coldcold. . . ."

"Huh?"

"Clothes!" Dinah finally spit out, trying to keep her eyes above Priestly's chest-line. "So you aren't cold. And I'm not naked. Wait. I'm not naked. Wonder Woman undies, right. I... Oh, God."

Supervillains. Never here when you needed them.

Priestly blinked, pausing in his bouncing and shivering for just a second.

"That's what I was gonna do!" He pointed out. "But you were c-calling at me an' so I st-stopped. . . ."

"Sorry!" Dinah slapped her hands back over her eyes. "Go! Get those! Not wanting to distract you or keep you naked and I hope you get warmed up!"

So, she was lying a little. Like anyone was going to know?

"'mnot naked," Priestly pointed out, a little bit petulantly.

Arguing was actually doing wonders for his body temperature already.

"Priestly!" Dinah almost wailed. "You're not naked but you're not clothed and neither am I!"

She took a breath, trying to be calm about this, but then started shivering too. "I just, can you, I..." She facepalmed at herself, and finally said, "I'll need to go upstairs. After you go. Okay?"

This would be nowhere near as bad if she didn't like Priestly and think he was cute and keep having stupid thoughts and oh God, why did she let Helena give her this underwear? Why? Why?

"Why d'you. . . ?" You could almost see the moment that Priestly's brain clicked back on. "Crap! Sorry!"

And he bolted for the stairs.
