Second Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

No power meant no TV and no Darkest Night tonight, which was a shame, since this week's episode had a whole lot of Lee Nicholas. Tony was in the common room anyway, looking for entertainment. The candles had enough light to read by, but he wasn't that bored yet.

He ended up looking in the kitchen cabinets for snack food. Popcorn sounded good, but he was pretty sure if he tried to pop it over the fire, the paper bag would just burn up.

Marshmallows! There was a bag of them on one of the lower shelves. Tony found a long knife to use as a stick and settled down by the fire to roast marshmallows. He was bundled in his winter coat and scarf. Sure, he was Canadian and used to the cold but that didn't mean he liked it.

Dinah had on her long underwear, pajamas, tee-shirt, and robe on as well as big fluffy socks and slippers when she went looking for Tony. She gave him a sad look as she walked in. "No vampires. No cheesiness. No shirtlessness."

"Not unless the power comes back on soon," Tony agreed. "Want a marshmallow?"

Peyton waved at Dinah. "Hey there." She was bundled up in blankets despite the blanket incident on Friday.

Wrapping a blanket around himself, Merlin was hunting for a nice warm fireplace to sit by. This wouldn't have been as bad if he had known it was winter here and packed accordingly.

"Hullo, Tony!" He said, poking his head in to see if the fire was going.

"Hey, Merlin!" Tony waved. "I bet you know how to cook stuff over a fire."

"Merlin!" Dinah grinned at him and patted one of the spots near her. "Does it ever get this cold in Albion?"

"Hey," Ronan said, smiling warmly. "I'm not sure we've met yet? I'm Ronan."

Francine went for the footie pajamas again, but this time from choice -- and over them, she was bundled in a t-shirt, the biggest, fluffiest cardigan she owned, and the quilt from her bed.

Which made it quite an entertaining balancing act to watch her try to open the door with a large tupperware container in her arms.

"No tv," she echoed Dinah sadly. "But...cookies?"

"Cookies!" Dinah said gleefully, bouncing up to help Francine. "Oh yay! You don't want to hoard it, in case we're snowed in for weeks?"

"Cookies are very welcome," Tony said, trying to see what kind they were.

Merlin flushed just a bit upon seeing Francine, offering a wave. "Do you need me to protect you from the sweets again?"

"OH! Is there any warm weather in this place!" exclaimed Prince Edward as he bounded into the common room.

Dinah grinned, and waved to Edward as he made his entrance. "Well, not in the dorm. Hi Edward! Did you get my message this weekend?"

Maybe there were better questions to ask.

Firekeeper blinked at Edward in surprise, his manner reminding her somewhat of Edlin.

"Hello," she ventured, with a polite nod.

No power, but Peyton was cold and grouchy and tired of sitting in her room being cold and grouchy, so she wrapped herself up in a couple of blankets and headed down to the common room to see if Tony might be there anyway.

"Hey, Peyton." Dinah waved and toasted her marshmallow. "Welcome to Camp Absolute Zero."

"Peyton!" Ronan greeted, with a grin and a wave. "How's the leg?"

Firekeeper and Blind Seer wandered in to the common room, the former hard-pressed to keep the slight feeling of smugness about their current situation from her expression.

"Hello," she greeted the room.

"Hi guys! We have sugar," Dinah said, waving to Blysse and Blind Seer from where she toasted her marshmallow. "And I am so envying you the coat," she told Blind Seer.

Merlin waved to her, still huddled under his blanket. "Hullo!"

Ronan hadn't planned to make any stops on his way up to his room, but it was cold outside, and he swore he could hear the fire crackling from the stairwell.

"Oh, hey, Tony," he said, as he wandered into the common room. "Marshmallows? Got any to share?"
