Firekeeper was hungry, but not a "going out to hunt in the preserve" kind of hungry. So instead she and Blind Seer were in the common room kitchen.

Currently, she was frowning at a bag of microwave popcorn, wishing she could remember how long it was supposed to cook for. Or for the fireplace from when the power had been out to suddenly reappear.

Blind Seer had somehow managed to get the fridge open, despite a distinct lack of opposable thumbs, and was currently nosing through it for something good.

"Waaaaaay in the future," she corrected, trying to comfort her. "Maybe I had one an' I don't know it? Usually I make Ned explain food stuff t'me but I could've missed one!"

Francine made a circle with her fingers. "It looks kind of like a doughnut, but it's like really chewy bread? And usually you eat it sliced in half."

"Not-sweet doughnuts!" Kaylee declared in recognition. "I didn't know they had a special name!"

Francine giggled. "I like that one too! You can make 'em sweet, though, if you put strawberry cream cheese on 'em."
