Roof - Thursday Afternoon
Aretha Franklin was fierce but Chuck Bass was fiercer, sorry to say. That was Chuck's logic as to why he didn't get a ridiculous hat (did Aretha have a catchphrase? No, she did not). One would think the island was too afraid to give Chuck the hat because he'd just make it work and then Fandom would explode from the awesome that would ensue.
That is what would really happen, you know.
Still, Chuck was wearing an item of clothing that was equal in fierceness to that hat (his scarf) and was sitting on the ledge of the roof, one leg hanging off the side and doing one of the things he does best. Which would be getting high.
God, he couldn't wait for those brownies.

She wasn't as fierce as he was, so she was stuck with the hat as she settled on the ledge a bit away from him. "Hey."

Claire looked interested, but also skeptical. Given that it was Chuck, he might just be hitting on her.

"I asked Francine to make Temari and me some brownies next week," Chuck said, figuring Claire would know what kind of brownies he was talking about.

... okay, no, she wasn't.
"Francine left me a message about brownies back when the phones were all jacked," she said, as a slow smile spread over her face, from the idea as much as the drug. "Temari's into that?"

She didn't cough anymore, but she'd been smoking since she was 11. Nate Fisher had interesting ways of relating to his baby sister.

"The clouds are completely amazing today," she observed. Because pot made you smarter.

How enlightening, Chuck.

From now on Chuck was going to associate the power going out with getting punched in the face.

He so totally was.

More giggles. "Sorry."

... Claire's skeeviness scale may have been skewed.

And that mental image made her start giggling again.
