Okay, so Claudia had just had the freakiest experience of her life (wtf, creepy little girl trying to eat her, wtf), so she wasn't going anywhere that wasn't brightly lit.

Thus a common room. And a huuuuuuge comforter. And a small mountain of junk food.

And anything but a horror movie on the television.

Sookie had hardly talked to anyone today, which just seemed weird.

So, she popped into the kitchen to make some hot chocolate, and beamed at the pretty girl on the couch. "Hiya! Can I get you anything while I'm up?"

Claudia didn't shriek, but it was close.

"Hi!" she said. "What are you making?"

"Hot chocolate?" she said slowly. "I mean, if you want."

"That would be wonderful," Claudia said. "If you were making something with tofu or sprouts, I was totes going to cry."

"Ew," Sookie said, making a little face. "That isn't even food."

"You are one of my new favorite people," Claudia declared. "I'm Claudia. Want a Snickers?"

"I'm Sookie and sure!" she said cheerily.

"I have a different friend named Sookie," Claudia offered. "That's so weird. I'd never even heard the name before I came here."

"It's kind of unusual," she replied happily, wandering over with the hot chocolate.

"So where are you from?" Claudia asked, reaching for her mug.

"Connecticut," she said cheerfully. "You?"

"Me too!" Claudia squealed. "Stoneybrook!"

"Stars Hollow!" she said, just as excitedly. "What a coincidence!"

Claudia had no idea where that was, but it was hardly going to stop her from bouncing excitedly. "No wonder you know how to make awesome hot chocolate! Hot cocoa! Whatever!"

Brooke was the only girl available hadn't been out enough yet was bored, and looking for something to do, which was why she was wandering into other floors' common rooms. "You again, huh?" she said, not looking much like she had a problem with this after the pool party.

"I almost gotten eaten," Claudia wailed. "And not in a fun way!"

Brooke tilted her head at her. "Back up to the 'eaten' part?"

"Some little girl wanted my blood!" Claudia replied, pulling the blanket around her some more. "She was probably going to sell it to her druggie dad in the alley."

Brooke kind of thought Claudia was on drugs most of the time, but she looked freaked out enough that Brooke felt the need to find her something chocolate. "She didn't look like she'd been adopted by Angelina Jolie, did she? Because that might explain some things."

Claudia shook her head. "She kept referring to her dad as her 'beloved'. I think even Angelina draws the line before then."

"She did make out with her brother," Brooke pointed out, finding pudding cups in the fridge and bringing one over. "Chocolate heals all."

"Yeah, that was gross," Claudia admitted, tearing into the pudding cup. "Who says they're so in love with their brother? It's the 'in' that's worrying."

"I'm hoping it was some 'look at me' phase she was in for the publicity," she said, taking a seat. "Especially with all those kids now, you know?"

Claudia nodded. "But if she's, you know, not using Brad Pitt, I'll take him off her hands."

"Probably wouldn't say that if you saw the creepy kid's dad. Good point. I'll give you that one, because of the trauma," Brooke allowed.

"I'd let you have him next," Claudia offered magnanimously.

Not that she knew that word.

Marco had considered spending the rest of his life hiding under the bed of the room he had woke up in, but then came the realization that a. there was a lot of dirty laundry there and b. no food. "Hey!"

Claudia smiled from under her comforter. "Hi, Marco!"

Marco froze. "Do I know you?"

"We talked about blindness in movie class together?" Claudia said.

Marco blinked, a lot. "Uh, dude? I've never even taken a movie class before. And I think I'd remember you."

Claudia just about burst into tears. "You were talking about how animals see things different than people!"

Marco would so be apologizing later. "Are you on drugs? I hate animals."

That was it for Claudia. She started crying. "I'm not on drugs!"

Marco flailed. "I'm sorry! I have no idea where I am and how I got here and everything is weird and I've never met you!"
