Shooting Range, Sunday Afternoon

He hadn't slept last night. There were new sounds, people moving and he'd been twitchy, ready to pop off at the next person who came close to him. He was stuck in a fucking crazy house with monkeys and people who thought they new him.

No one knew him. He didn't know himself. His life had been a lie. He was trying to map out the truth, cut out a real life but now he was stuck in a place where he was fucking alone.

Fuck. He missed Fox. He missed getting beat on. At least that had been familiar.

Eventually, he'd found the weapons locker, found a gun and found the gun range. This is what he needed. He set up the targets, put on the required safety equipment before taking a few straight shots to get a feel for the gun. And then, he started curving bullets into the target.

He started feeling better immediately. Fuck the world. He wasn't gonna fucking lay down.

"An evil organization intent on conquering worlds. Sound familiar?" Adora had been an insider. She understood all too well what it was like to be trapped by such a group.

It did but he would never admit that.

"No. Has it succeeded?"

"The Rebellion and I hold them at bay," Adora told him. "I can't imagine if they possessed weapons such as yours."

"Where the fuck are you from?" Wesley asked. "Local asylum?"

"I'm not from the fuck," Adora replied slowly, thinking they had covered this already. "I'm from Etheria."

If he hadn't already had a headache, she'd have given him one.

"Is that in fucking Canada?"

Adora was starting to wonder about his use of that word. Was nothing standard?

"No, it's another planet." She looked him over in wonder. "But I'm getting the impression you don't want to hear about that."

"Of course," he said and rubbed his forehead with the butt of the gun. "This place is fucking insane."

"It's not insane, it's Fandom," Adora explained. "It took me quite some time to get used to it."

"It's insane," he insisted. "And I need to fucking leave it."

"Do you always ask so many questions?" Wesley asked.

"Yes, but usually people answer them," Adora realized. "Huh."

"I don't like questions from strangers," he said. "Huh."
