The Salle, Sunday Morning
It was still quite early when Tahiri headed down to the salle and, finding no one there as of yet, got her lightsaber and remotes out of the weapons locker. She did think to stick a sign on the door, though it wasn't quite the succinct "Caution: Live Fire Exercise" warning that usually got used for these things. What? "Watch Out For Lasers" worked, if you asked her. Sure, these were low-powered stun bolts, but still.
She examined the remotes for a moment, deciding to start with one at first; it had been a while since she'd done this. Really, a lot longer than it should have been. Now, to see if Dinah would show up first.
[OOC: Waiting for Dinah, but open of course!]

"I know this looks kind of boring right now," she said, almost apologetically, as she brought the lightsaber up into guard position and took a step back, then another, circling cautiously.

"You are soooo wrong," Dinah said, getting ready to dodge, eye on the remote and Tahiri's swishing around the pretty, deadly light sword.

Drawing on the Force for speed, she dove into a roll and came up on the other side of the remote almost in the speed of a blink just in time to spin and deflect first one, then another bolt -- still with her eyes closed, and making sure to send them in the opposite direction from Dinah.
"You should see some of the Masters do this with about a dozen."

The remote paused in mid-air, then dove low at Tahiri's legs firing more stun bolts; she leaped straight up, nearly hitting the ceiling in her maneuver to avoid it, and landed more lightly than gravity should have allowed just in time to bat another bolt away.

Maybe, maybe, by the end of the year, she'd know how to use her TK like that, or move that fast...

"How long have you been studying, again?" she marveled.

She ducked a stray bolt, eyes wide. "Really wow!"

She was blocking out everything else about that article except a dog sitting on a teacher's head.
"But I don't know anything else about them."
