third floor common room - sunday evening - 2/15
Liir made his way zombie-like to the common room, his puppy trailing behind him. He was still somewhat, er, exhausted from, er, things, but he was also hungry which was why he started puttering around in the kitchen.
Yes, he was making some very simple chicken soup and grilled cheese, and you're welcome to some. But he was also making a bit of a racket because he wasn't entirely awake.

"Oh? Um. Yes. Fine. Still a bit tired."
He yawned, not for theatrics.
"How're you, Penelope? How was your time at the dance?"

"Yes, it was quite a night," he admitted. "And I don't usually drink. It's really not wise for me."

"I had a lovely time. Talked to more people than I usually do but I saw so many people I hadn't talked to in ages. It just sort of happened.
"Did you go with Hurley?"
no subject
"I did, yes. And you with Amber?"

Just leaned against the open doorway for a moment, and watched, as expressionless as she ever got.

Seeing Ino, there was at first surprise. And then a small smile.
"Hello," he said, figuring he'd start small.
"Want some?"
no subject
It totally counted as a meal. Shush.
"Want to explain why you can't even cook right now without making a racket?"
no subject
"Still a bit groggy," he said, "and I've figured it out now. Shouldn't be noisy anymore."
Wait.
"You couldn't hear it all the way upstairs, could you?"
no subject

"Sorry. Shouldn't happen again. I'm just a bit out of it."
He looked over at her with something of a hopeful smile.
"How are you? Did you have a good time at the dance?"
no subject
Baby steps. Not that Ino would admit to that.
"It was alright," she said, shrugging. "Ichigo's a better dancer than he says he is."
no subject
"Did you pick the theme? I know you're on the Student Council."
The smile melted a little, more in deference to things than deflation.

He nodded. A few times. Then a few more times.
Then pulled out more cheese for a sandwich for her.
"You?"

"Amber is very nice. How was the rest of your time at the dance? I hope the punch didn't get you too."

"You've already taught me quite a lot, just by showing me the beginnings, and I haven't even gotten to a cooking lesson with you. I really should have been out here earlier though... after this, if you'd like, we could start with one. But only if you're not busy. Well, after eating not busy."
