The Roof [Monday, Evening]

Angela was avoiding her own room for obvious reasons, and common rooms for similar ones. She hated feeling like she was hiding.

Town seemed like a long way to go just not to see people, so she'd taken herself up to the roof, and was now sitting out there, wearing several layers against the cold, and staring out towards the lights of the mainland. It would make good inspiration for a painting one of these days.

If she'd been the type to smoke, she would have been. But since she wasn't, she was just sitting with a mug of hot chocolate, because it was really, really freezing out here.

[[And it is open, like a roof of emo.]]

Chuck was the type to smoke (well, smoke weed) and after John pissed him off, he wanted nothing more than to get high. So there he was on the roof.

He didn't even notice Angela at first, too busy thinking about how he was gonna get Sheppard back for being a dick.

"Dude, what the..." Hurley said, peeking out at who else was on the roof. "Why are you up here?"

"I was just gonna... think," Hurley lied. Poorly.

Chuck almost jumped at the noise. Almost. Luckily he was able to control the girly reaction.

"Angela," he said, exhaling smoke as he spoke. He moved over towards her, taking a seat on the edge of the roof. "What are you doing up here?"

Seemed to be much warmer places around here to drink hot chocolate.

"Well you're up here for a more noble reason than I am then," Chuck said, smirking. Then, trying to be polite, held out the joint. "You want some?"

"Dude," Hurley said. "It is cold out here. Man. I don't think my thinking is worth it."

Amber mozied on up to the roof because one, she was bored. And two, she was bored.

She planned on smoking but caught sight of Angela so refrained. Not like she smoked anyway.

"Hey, you," she said by way of greeting.

"Offer's always open," Chuck said, taking a hit of the joint. "It is pretty fucking cold out here. Or maybe it's not. Maybe I got too used to the Caribbean weather."

"I was restless," she said. "And the cold never really bothers me much. Prefer the heat, but used to the cold I guess. How are you doing?"

[identity profile] likes-chicken.livejournal.com 2009-03-03 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah," Hurley said, letting out a deep breath. "What're you thinking about?"

Amber studied her. "I'm doing fine." Pretty much. "Why are you up here, out in the cold yourself?"

"I'm so glad to have my bed back," Chuck said, even though he missed the close proximity to Blair. "I don't know how I survived that small bed those months when I shared a room with Susan."

It didn't. Her nose wrinkled up a little and her expression clearly said Angela ought to give up that excuse. "Uh-huh. I'm a good listener. Just saying."
