Hurley had arranged to meet with Triela this evening, so he could teach her ping pong. Hey, it was a game Hurley knew well, so he might as well share the knowledge and stuff, right?

He set everything up, and waited patiently with a smile on his face. It was a good day, he thought.

Triela showed up in one of her nicer suits, she'd just come from work. She glanced down at her watch before looking up at Hurley and nodding.

"Hey, Hurley."

"Whoa," Hurley said. "I suddenly feel underdressed."

Triela snorted. "No more so than everyone else around here." She just liked suits.

"Heh, true," Hurley said. "You having a good day and stuff?"

"So far. Looking forward to tomorrow."

She lifted an eyebrow. "You?"

Hurley shrugged. "No complaints. What's tomorrow?"

"Laser tag." She grinned. "You're coming, right?"

"...There's laser tag tomorrow?" Hurley said. He hadn't been aware.

"Yeah. The gun club is taking a field trip."

"Whoa," Hurley said. "I'm not really a gun person, so... yeah. Sounds like fun, though. Hope you have a lot."

"You don't have to be a gun person to like laser tag," Triela pointed out.

"Yeah, but you kinda have to not be an easy target to have fun," Hurley pointed out. He chuckled.

"Well, your loss." Triela shrugged.

Hurley shrugged. "Probably, yeah," he said. "So." He held up the ping pong paddle. "Ready to learn?"

Triela nodded. "That's what I'm here for."

"Awesome," Hurley said. "You know, like, tennis, right?"

"That's the one with the rackets?"

"Yeah," Hurley said. "This is like a... smaller version."

"Okay..." Triela said in a voice that meant she wasn't sure what the implication of that was.

"Like, this is the racket," Hurley said, waving the the paddle. "And this is the court." He knocked on the table.

She nodded slowly. "Okay." She picked up the paddle. "What am I supposed to do?"

"Well, this is the ball," Hurley said. He picked it up with his free hand. "Basically, you hit the ball over the net and against the other player's side. And they try to hit it back. If you miss, the other dude gets a point."

"That's it?" It sounded simple.

"Yep," Hurley said. "It's fun. All hand-eye and stuff."
