The Deck, Friday Afternoon
It was a bright enough day and Adora desperately missed the outdoors, so she put together a pot of hot tea and made her way outside to the deck. Settling down on a comfortable chair, she toyed with pen and paper, hoping to be inspired to compose a few letters home.
"Adam deserves to hear some news from me directly, I suppose," she murmured to herself. "But where do I start?" It wasn't likely she'd figure that out for some time, but at least she could enjoy sitting in the sunshine while she considered her options.
So far, all she had was, Dearest Brother. Not much of a start, no.
[Open deck is open! 45 degrees is not that cold.]

"How's it going, Adora?"

She had to remind herself of a time, long long ago, when all this was strange and unusual to her, as well.

He hadn't yet connected her with the little girl who had been trying to learn John Sheppard's name the weekend before.

He shrugged, leaning against a conveniently modded low wall. "I may have not entirely realized what the word meant."

Not that what he had said was so terribly civil, but it also wasn't actively hostile. Quite.
"Thank you," he replied. "It's a good thing you didn't give us a blender; we would have had to return it."

Angela would have probably brained him with it if he had.
"Managed to avoid any other weddings since then?"
It was still sort of civil. In a sarcastic...way. Yeah.

Because, really, that would be the thing she would talk to Romeo about that she'd likely find the most interesting.
