Just Outside the Main Gate, Friday Morning

He'd been assessing people resources for most of the previous day. Since there had yet to be word from Lady Zoe, Arthur took the opportunity today to scope out how much space there would be for a barricade - if one could even be feasible.

This brought him to the area just outside the gates, wearing full armor and backed by Merlin-the-idiot-sorcerer, his eyes shooting towards the road in front of them from time to time.

"It's just scouting," Tahiri answered. "I've done it alone lots of times."

Truthfully she didn't want Dinah to see her if she lost it at the sight of the zombies again.

"And I know it worked out great those times," Dinah said cautiously. "But, you know. Not wanting to lose anyone else." She swallowed. "Anyway, do you have a phone on you?"

"Comlink," Tahiri said, holding it up. "I already patched your phone into it."

"Cool. If I call your phone number, does it forward to yours?" Dinah asked, relieved and wishing she had her Delphi com-set instead of her phone. It'd be nice to have someone on an open network monitoring what was going on.

"Did that last night, when I got home," Tahiri answered. "Seemed like a good idea."

"Also good," Dinah agreed. Maybe she wouldn't just follow Tahiri into the woods, if she stayed in contact.

She bit her lip, studying the road in front of them. Maybe, possibly, she could go into town, maybe with someone else, look for people she knew, lock them up somewhere until this was over. Maybe the could fix it?

"I'm not the person who should be telling you not to go anywhere," Tahiri said seriously, looking up at her. "I have no right to say that. Just be careful, whatever you do, okay? I'm not in the mood to lose anyone else."

Dinah gave her a guilty look for her own thoughts, then nodded. "Swear. I'll take someone with me, if I do go. And stay in contact."

"Will do." Tahiri didn't salute or anything, but the nod she gave Dinah was close enough in spirit. "You too."
