Just Outside the Main Gate, Friday Morning

He'd been assessing people resources for most of the previous day. Since there had yet to be word from Lady Zoe, Arthur took the opportunity today to scope out how much space there would be for a barricade - if one could even be feasible.

This brought him to the area just outside the gates, wearing full armor and backed by Merlin-the-idiot-sorcerer, his eyes shooting towards the road in front of them from time to time.

"They happen...occasionally. I mean, it's really hard to tell. Those harpies were only around for the day, but these guys just won't go away, and there's a lot worse going on here than that. There was one time where everyone was getting sick, and then the going back in time thing. Best you can do is protect yourself and each other and try to figure out something."

"Research," Dinah said in tones of doom. "We need the world's best researcher on it." She paused. "But if I told my sister about this, she'd yank me back home. So that won't work. Someone at this school has to be smart enough to find the answer in the library or the 'net somewhere though, right?"

Turtle nodded. "A lot of people are. We've got just as many brains as we do brawn around here. I'm usually a library person myself, but, I don't know. Lately, I've just been feeling like I should step up more. And zombies? Zombies I think I can handle."

Dinah nodded thoughtfully, studying Turtle. "Yeah? Well, that's good to know, at least." After a second she asked, "Is that why you're in Girls with Guns Club? Because of stuff like this?"

Turtle nodded a little. "Kind of?" she said. "I got my gun for my fifteenth birthday, but I'd never used one before. So I started so I could learn. And then I kept with it because I've definitely realized the importance of knowing how to defend yourself outside of a kick to the shins around here..."

Dinah nodded more vehemently. "I really, totally get that. Well. I got it back in New Gotham, but yes. Guns took some getting used to, but they definitely have their place. I was going to go in to town and get a one, or ask Triela if I could borrow one. The boomerang is great, and the the bat and sticks are good for close work, but there's so many of the stupid zombies...." She shook her head.

"Very eeeesh." Dinah twirled one eskrima. "Maybe going out there if I can find someone else to go with me. They've already gotten too many people I know and like."
