The Lobby -- All Day

Ino, and Weechee who was still crazy-adorable, were up nice and early to get the table for prom ticket sales set up. With king and queen voting even. There was, because this was Ino, various sorts of chocolates set out too.

And a small sign that said ‘free hug (if you want it) with ticket purchase’, because far be it for Ino to pass up a chance to get random hugs. Shush. Besides, she was just a sophomore. If it wasn't for Ichigo, she wouldn't even be able to go, geez. Somehow that totally counted as a valid reason for a hug.

Or something! She didn't really need a reason after all!

Dinah snickered. "When is your birthday normally?"

"September 23rd!" she said, making a face. "One day after one of my teammates back home, Dad jokes that it was a race or something, to see who'd get born first."

"Sooo, you'd be turning 16 on the same day I turn 17, if we counted those seven months," Dinah realized with a grin. "And ha! Which teammate is that?"

Ino laughed. "That's a bit confusing to explain though, if it were anywhere but here! And Shikamaru, he's clever but super lazy if he doesn't have to be anything else."

"Which, obviously, meant that it's my job to bully him into things."

"Of course. Boys can be such slackers," Dinah said, grinning. Well most of the ones she knew were workaholics. But poking the rest was always fun. She hugged Weechee again, and said, "Okay, hug from you now? Or group hug?"

"Well," she said, "we're pretty evenly matched in 'getting on each other's nerves'." Ino wasn't exactly 'easy-going' really.

A beat.

"Group hug!" As she bounced around the table for the hug.

"Woooo!" Dinah laughed as she hugged Ino and the wokling at the same time, squeezing hard. "I kinda needed this. Long week."

Weechee squealed and laughed. Ino laughed too, hugging Dinah tight. "I figured people might," she admitted, looking a bit sheepish. "So hugs it was. Though I admit, I like getting hugs anyway."

"Me too," Dinah agreed, then tickled Weechee's tummy before carefully setting him on the ground. "Cool. So yeah, I guess I'll see you at the dance? You're going with-- oh, I always forget his name, but Chad talks about him. Ich... guy?"

"Totally! It's Ichigo," she said, grinning tolerantly as Weechee toddled to cling to her legs. "If you ever feel like making him spaz comment on how his name means strawberries. Yes, we're going--which is a good thing, otherwise I wouldn't be able to go!"

"Right, Sophomore," Dinah remembered. "Cooool. Then I'll see you there." She shook her head. "Come over and say hi."

"I will," she promised, picking Weechee up to dance him around to her side of the table. "See you tomorrow!"
