Third Floor Common Room - Sunday Morning

Peace had reigned in room 338 for precious few hours. Said peace was broken at the crack of dawn by a small girl with wings proclaiming "He is Risen, Hallelujah!"

The perils of having a half-angel child on a major Christian holiday.

Which would be why Joan and her children were in the common room at an ungodly early hour, dying Easter Eggs. Gabby had tried insisting on church, but Joan placated her with watching mass on television.

"You do, Daddy!" Rachel assured him. "Me and you and mommy live in a biiiiiiiiig house in Hollywood! Grandma comes to visit alla time! And then for big holidays, Grandma Helen and Grandpa Will and Uncle Kevin and Uncle Luke and Aunt Grace visit!"

"So do we!" Jadie said excitedly, her bruised head forgotten. "Cept my other Grandma and Grandpa never come together and the one time they did we had to get a new kitchen."
